Qualifications For A Level One Teacher Assistant Certification:Level One Certification:n Candidate must obtain a high school diploma or equivalent.n Candidate must register and obtain a passing score on the Teacher Assistant State Exam (ATAS Exam)

Candidate Must Complete the Following Courses:n Dignity Act Certification Coursen Violence (SAVE) Workshopn Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect

n Candidate must obtain fingerprint clearance through the New York State Department of Education
