The Barclaycard team was so helpful from the outset. They supported us by looking at spend analysis, identifying the right suppliers to purchase from and helping us to form a business case for migrating fromourtraditionalPOprocess.

Generating efficiency InterGen is a global power generation business with 10 power stations worldwide. Its procurement can vary from very small but high-volume purchases to the purchasing of the expensive machinery required to run the power generating sites.

While InterGen’s existing purchase order process was well controlled,itwasclearthatthe‘onesizefitsall’approachwasnotthemostefficientwaytodealwithlow-cost, high-volumepurchases.

Project objectives:– simplify the buying process – empower employees – retain control over purchases to ensure compliance – improve visibility of procurement spend.
