THINK INKLOCATION: MINNEAPOLIS, MN COLLABORATION : CHRISTINA WINTER, ABBY TRENHAILE AND BETHANY GALEPROJECT: AD AGENCY SQUARE FEET: 11,500

The project objective was to design a space for a growing ad agency. The Ink blob became inspiration for the space. An open floor plan with only a few walls creates an environment where creativity can flow freely. To help stimulate the mind multiple

colors of varying hues were chosen, with lots of places to brainstorm the next big idea.

The conference room shape came from the idea of the ink blob. The outer wall is the skyway. For privacy there is a switch so the room becomes more private.

THE DENLOCATION: LOS ANGLES, CA COLLABORATION : CHRISTINA WINTER AND ABBY TRENHAILEPROJECT: BOUTIQUE HOTEL SQUARE FEET: 10,700

This concept is based on the Nube chair by Jesus & Jon Gasca. The shape of the chair seems as if it was carved out leaving voids of space. The chair also has bright contrasting colors. With color and carving out of space, The Den was created. A secluded hideaway, is around every corner at The Den.

VIVID COLLISION

Black Kettle Records produces Indie rock music. Indie rock is an eclectic variety of different styles of music. This was captured by using elements from a multitude of sources and styles, including lines that extend over and beyond space. The suite feels eclectic, bright, colorful and textural. Quirky indie music represents a space that creates a VIVID COLLISION.

A BIRDS NESTLOCATION: ROBBINSDALE, MNPROJECT: SUSTAINABLE REMODEL SQUARE FEET: 4,500

The objective was to remodel a home utilizing sustainable practices and designing spaces with family in mind. The concept was based on a robin’s nest and the crisscross action of the nest with the safety of having the children within. Pods of space are used to create division in the living areas without walls. Also, cozy nooks are found throughout the home.

Detroit

The Motor City Conference Center found inspiration in the tradition of art deco and automobile manufacturing. The design uses repetition of shapes and a vernacular palette of metals, woods, rubber, and the cool colors of Lake Michigan.

LOCATION: SEATTLE, WAPROJECT: DESIGN NEW HOME SQUARE FEET:

A looking glass

This is a home design for a recently married couple who wanted a home they could grow in. They both love nature and spend a lot of time outdoors. Only local reclaimed and sustainable materials and finishes were used. The concept was based on the idea of making a connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

The connection was made with variations in the windows, flooring and the ceiling. Contemporary and simple organic with geometric forms were applied in order to create a relaxing home in Seattle, Washington.
