The first part of the year is always busy for our Company so it is hard to believe that Easter weekend has just passed!! We also know that this has been a particularly long Winter for many parts of the Country especially Alberta, and some areas up North. We’ve heard from many of our contacts on the ground, that if they are successful in getting even just half of the work they’ve already bid on coming up, then likely it will be a ban-ner year for them. This is exciting to hear for those already working in Industry, and for those individuals researching a career change to become a Heavy Equipment Operator!! The pool of experienced long-time operators continues to shrink, as Industry ramps up and more people retire. IHE has a passion for seeing our graduates succeed by connecting competent, safely-trained operators with employers in need of skilled labour. Seven companies and 11 representatives united to talk about pro-jects, job prospects and pay at our recent job fairs held this Spring at our BC & AB training sites. The great news is that many of our IHE Alumni/Grads were offered employment as a result! We are proud to work with reputable companies like Brandt Tractor. This kind of industry connection enhances the IHE promise to never share machines! Our goal is to grow and adapt with these kinds of reputable industries and agencies to create win - win relationships for our employees, students and potential employers alike!
