for gifted, talented and promising young guitarists across Berkshire All Monday evening sessions 6.30pm-8.30pm

Session 1 02.10.2017

Quirky Quartets

Explore taking responsibility for your own part in this exciting chamber music workshop. Learn how to lead, balance and alter the performance of music in a small ensemble setting

Session 2 06.11.2017

Simply Slurs Developing your left hand technique so that you can master melodies which are more complex and sustained in your chosen repertoire

Session 3 04.12.2017

Christmas Chamber Music

Perfect your technique and build on your chamber skills from ‘Quirky Quartets’ whilst exploring a selection of festive repertoire from the medieval to present day

Session 4 08.01.2018

Turns & Trills Develop your sense of style and explore the techniques needed to ornament music from the Baroque and Classical era

Session 5 05.02.2018

Working with Scales If you can play scales—you can play anything. This session will be full of tips and tricks to boost your co-ordination, accuracy and memory!

BYGO & Friends 05 & 12.03.2017 *6:45 - 9:00pm

Rehearse and Perform alongside the Berkshire Youth Guitar Orchestra. You’ll play specially arranged repertoire in sectionals and full orchestral rehearsals exploring a variety of challenging styles and new techniques. All performers will present their work in an informal late night concert at 8pm on Monday 19th March.

WORKSHOP 13.05.2017 *11am—4pm

Uke—can—do it! A whistle-stop tour of Ukulele playing exploring and creating performances in the style of the band ’Walk off the Earth’ - take home tips and techniques to incorporate into your classical playing

Ready Steady Right Hand A jam packed session full of ideas to help get your right hand moving with tremolo, finger picking, rasguedo and more

Dangerous Duos Challenge yourself and your partner to tackle more complex repertoire in an intimate chamber music setting
