COMMUNITY PARTNERS Events Intern—The Events Intern assists with organizing local events such as the WIN for KC Luncheon, Big 12 Run, Sports Awards Banquet, Camp WIN, WIN for KC Triathlon, Kansas City Marathon, Youth Clinics, Thanksgiving Day Run and all na- tional events including NCAA and conference championships. The events they are involved with depends on semester and event schedule. Marketing Intern—The Marketing Intern assists with planning and execution of our marketing assets. Interns help out with social media accounts, take part in brainstorming sessions for content, and assist with website and email as needed. Marketing Interns may also assist with sponsorship presentations, partnership activation and other marketing duties. Additionally, they assist with all Kansas City Sports Commission and WIN for KC events. Graphic Design Intern—The Graphic Design Intern will create various marketing and promotional materials including email and social media graphics, fliers, T-shirt designs, and assist with designing signage for Kansas City Sports Com- mission and WIN for KC owned and operated events. Graphic Design Interns could also assist with designing digital ads, bid creation and more. Applicants must have design software including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign on their per- sonal computer. Additionally, they assist with all Kansas City Sports Commission and WIN for KC events. The Kansas City Sports Commission and WIN for KC offer spring, summer, and fall internships to college students and recent graduates. Internship periods are based on school semester length and can be utilized for course credit. Our internship program is full-time (9am—5pm, M-F) with some nights and weekends depending on event schedule. In- terns are unpaid, however they will have the opportunity to network with high-profile individuals and organizations and attend a variety of sports related events.
