From the Pen of Coordinator
Alas! this is the 10th AQA report (third of mine) which is
forthcoming with a great sense of achievement beyond the
image of Alumni, students, colleagues and co-workers and
other stakeholders . It had been a very nice experience to
work with Dr. Arjun Singh Sirari ---The sage & philosopher
of our time --- an epitome of classical economic
philosophy---a -true non-interventionist --- who
thoroughly encouraged us to do whatever we wanted for
up-gradation of the College
1.By pushing ahead the with-halted computerisation –
process of the library,
2.Purchasing research journals & expanding the storage
capacity in the library ,
3.Organising the historical Alumni Meet,
4.Supporting students’ feed-back mechanism ,
5.Shifting the Art-faculty & purchasing furniture , to keep
pace with students growth,
6. Preparing a Mini- Computer-Lab ,
7. Forwarding Report for Granting Autonomous Status to
the College (Dr. S. N. Rao being as its Convenor)
8. Constructing A Guest – House & one Hall
9…Entwining A Chain of Value System by hanging
Quotable Quotes ..of which college seems in Utter Crisis..
Yet, again it's a very pleasant experience to write this
report of the college amidst heavy work load on the
shoulders of the members of the cell . Nothing goes
beyond the quality pursuance in academics when
viewed around the world . India stands nowhere amidst
top 200 universities of the world . Even now if it doesn't
alarm us nothing else but self pity is left to be mourn of.
Question is not of the colllege but of the future of India
with regard to higher education . If on the one hand
world's top most universities' research laboratories
concentrate on discoveries and innovations for the welfare
of the mankind as a whole why can't we do some good for
at the local level ( College) merely by providing our
students minimum modern infrastructure to learn.
Technology has entered in each and every threshold of the
life why do our college find itself unable to diversify the
process regarding it. We have to increase the awareness
level of our deprived stakeholders either by force or by
moral persuasion . In a college where around 50% of the
students come from rural background with poor economic
conditions -providing bachelor's & master's degree
without giving little technical know-how seems farcical on
the face of Indian information technology enabled
services sector -- moving faster than other spheres of the
economy. This is the booming area from where students
of comparatively low academic caliber can get the white
collar jobs in fast moving economic spheres around the
world . We have to trigger the starting point.
Moreover squeezing job opportunities in the public sector,
simultaneous advent of foreign direct investment by
China ( around $ 20b) Japan and Malaysia in third tier
state like U.P and in future Uttarakhand, also, it
becomes inevitable to provide them trained personnel
with basic technical knowledge . Creating computer labs
in the colleges of Uttarakhand will not only pave way to
increase the employability of our students as a whole but
also will attract them towards the college & class rooms
also.
This will surely boost up the beauty of the college and will
marshal an era of the free flow of services from the
campus.

A Critical Appraisal Of Labour Welfare Measures in Large Scale Industries of Kumaun Region
Rohit Sharma --Supervisor Dr.P.C.Suyal
Labour welfare measurers help in increasing the productivity and and also influence the attitude of the workers . Labor welfare
measures create job satisfaction and induce industrial development . The objective of wealth maximization may be achieved
only with the contribution of workers in the form of enhanced labor productivity . Labor welfare exerts positive impact on
productivity resulting in increase in profitability of the enterprises.
A Study Of Socio- Economic Conditions Of Small And Marginal Farmers Of Udham Singh Nagar District
Of UTTARAKHAND --- Sachin Gupta---Supervisor Dr. Mamchand
Although the share of agricultural sector in national income in on the decline , yet agriculture is the main stay of small &
marginal farmers. Average size of land holdings is , also on the decline resulting in decline in productivity . In this way , poverty
in agriculture is prevalent which has deteriorated the the socio-economic conditions of small & marginal farmers all over the
country. Predominance of uneconomic land holdings is one of the major problems of Indian agriculture. Due to this it failed to
introduce new agricultural strategy resulting in low profitability , too. The sub-division and fragmentation of land holdings has
led to increase in the number of small and marginal farmers whose economic conditions are worsening year after year.
