European Commission GNSS international strategy (1)


1. Access global GNSS-related resources & set worldwide standards (spectrum, compatibility/interoperability, ITU, WTO)

2. Ensure security of the space segment & ground network of the systems (threats, agreements for ground stations)

3. Ensure acquisition of required space technologies worldwide(Use of non-EU technologies in non-sensitive areas)




4. Jointly develop innovative applications & space technologies(FP7 – adding value – market openers)

5. Develop specialized applications of supra-regional interest(civil aviation, maritime transport, banking)

6. Enhance the global business environment, worldwide, for the European GNSS technologies & application industries(Market access issues, IPR, Regional centres)

7. Discuss the developments of Galileo globally(International Agreements – International Forum)
