Andrea Carlevaris has been Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and Director of Dispute Resolution Services of the ICC from 2012 to 2017. He is a member of the Board of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, EFILA (the European Forum of International Law and Investment), IMI (International Mediation Institute) and AIA (the Italian Association for Arbitration), a founding member and member of the Advisory Board of ArbIt (the Italian Forum for Arbitration and ADR) and a member of the Steering Committee of the International Arbitration Commission of UIA (Union International des Avocats).

Valentine Chessa is an Italian national admitted to the Paris Bar. She joined the arbitration practice of Castaldi Mourre & Partners in 2010 after starting her career at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration as Deputy Counsel. She acts as counsel in cases under the main institutional rules and ad hoc proceedings, from the pre-arbitration phase to enforcement of the award. Benedetta Coppo joined the Milan Chamber of Arbitration in 2001, where she has been head of the arbitration department (2007-2013), administering both domestic and international arbitration proceedings. As a member of the Secretariat of the Milan Chamber of Arbitration, she also took part in the 2010 and 2019 revisions of the CAM Arbitration Rules. Since 2014, she leads the Rome branch office of the Chamber.

Maria Beatrice Deli is Professor of International Law at the University of Molise and of International Arbitration at the University of Roma Tre School of Law. Domenico Di Pietro has taught international arbitration at major academic institutions and has lectured on the same topic worldwide. Dr. Kabir Duggal focuses his New York-based practice on international investment arbitration, international commercial arbitration and public international law matters, serving both as counsel and arbitrator. He is also a Lecturer-in-Law at Columbia Law School teaching international arbitration. He also acts as a Consultant for the United Nations Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries (UN-OHRLLS) on the creation of a novel “Investment Support Program” and serves on the Steering Committee of the Investment Support Program. He has advised several Governments on public international law and dispute resolution matters. He is elected to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the California International Arbitration Council, Inc. (CIAC) and serves on its Academic Council. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Boston International Arbitration Council (BIAC). He is a graduate of the University of Mumbai, Oxford, NYU Law, Leiden Law, and is pursuing a second doctoral degree from Harvard Law School.

Ferdinando Emanuele

Ferdinando Emanuele’s practice focuses on national and international litigation and arbitration. He is considered to be one of the leading Italian experts in international arbitration, multi-plaintiff and class actions litigations. Ferdinando has authored two books and various law review articles on international arbitration. He is President of the ICC Italy Commission on International Arbitration and ADR and served as one of the 15 members of the Rome Bar Council (Consiglio dell’Ordine) from 2004 to 2006. Ferdinando obtained an LL.M. from the University of Michigan Law School. He is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish.

Gustav Flecke-Giammarco regularly acts as counsel and arbitrator in domestic and international arbitral proceedings. Alma Forgó is a German-qualified lawyer. Before joining Airbus, she worked as Deputy Counsel at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris, where she was in charge of international arbitration cases mainly involving parties from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Baltic countries. Before joining the ICC, Alma trained in the international arbitration departments of Wilmer Hale in London and of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Paris. Alma holds law degrees from the Universities of Munich and Paris II.

Manuel A. Gómez is a Professor of Law and the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Global Engagement at Florida International University College of Law. He specializes in international dispute resolution, comparative civil procedure, and complex litigation. He is a Board Member of the Miami International Arbitration Society (MIAS), leads the Law School Liaison Committee of the International Law Section of the Florida Bar, and serves as the Coordinator of the Latin America & Caribbean Group of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center (SVAMC). Hussein Haeri

Hussein Haeri is a Partner and Co-Head of International Arbitration at the law firm Withers LLP, based in the firm's London office. He is a Solicitor-Advocate of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. He has worked as counsel and advocate based in London, New York and Paris on international arbitrations under all the major rules over the last 15 years. He is recognised in Who’s Who Legal, which notes that he is ‘an amazing lawyer and thorough professional’ and by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, which states that “The practical and solutions driven Haeri is outstanding” and that “He combines huge intellectual powers with great client handling and gives straight-to-the-point advice”. Hussein is a Visiting Lecturer on Investment Treaty Arbitration at SOAS, University of London.

Stefan KrollDirector of the Center for International Dispute Resolution at Bucerius Law School

Stefan Kröll is an independent arbitrator with experience of arbitration proceedings in all areas of national and international business law including the involvement of state parties. He is Professor of International Dispute Resolution at Bucerius Law School and Director of its Center for International Dispute Resolution. In addition, Stefan regularly gives lectures and talks at other leading institutions in Germany and abroad and is a Visiting Professor at the School of International Arbitration, University of London. Since 2012 he is a Director of the Willem C. Vis Arbitration Moot in Vienna. Andrew G. Paton, an Australian national, has been working for 30 years in international commercial arbitration, both as legal counsel and as an arbitrator. Andrew is based in Rome and holds both common law and civil law qualifications (Italy, Australia and England). Giacomo Rojas ElguetaAssociate Professor of Private Law and Economic Analysis of Law at Roma Tre University, School of LawCertificate’s Director

Giacomo Rojas Elgueta earned a LL.M. with distinction and a S.J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He was a Visiting Scholar at Yale Law School. He is the author of three books and several articles in major Italian and U.S. law reviews. He consulted the Italian Government for law reforms on bankruptcy law, trust law and security interests. Giacomo is admitted to the Rome, Italy (2004) and New York Bar (2010). Giacomo is past Co-Chair of ArbIt (Italian Forum on International Arbitration and ADR) and is actively involved in commercial and investment arbitration as counsel, expert witness and arbitrator. Natalia Petrik has been legal counsel at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Institute since 2005. She has also been secretary at the SCC Mediation Institute (2006 – 2007) and secretary at the Swedish Arbitration Association for Young Lawyers at the SCC Institute (2006 – 2007). Previously, Natalia worked as an arbitration/litigation associate with major Swedish law firms. Natalia holds a double degree in Swedish and Russian law as well as a master degree summa cum laude in linguistics.

Gabriele Ruscalla joined the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in November 2015, where he manages a team that administers a significant volume of international commercial and investment arbitrations. Prior to joining the ICC, he was an associate in the Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration Group in Paris and a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Procedural Law. In May 2015, he defended his PhD thesis in International Arbitration at Bocconi University. Gabriele has taught seminars on issues of international commercial and investment arbitration, published notes and articles and participates as speaker at conferences on international-arbitration-related subjects.

Marco Torsello is name partner at ArbLit since 2017 and leads the department of litigation. Sylvia Tonova is an international arbitration lawyer with 15 years of experience representing investors and states in investment treaty and commercial arbitrations. Before relocating to Jones Day in London, Sylvia practiced for seven years at an international law firm in Washington, D.C. Sylvia represents clients in arbitrations under all the major arbitration rules, including the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the ICSID Additional Facility Rules, and was appointed to the ICSID Panels of Arbitrators and of Conciliators by Bulgaria in 2016. Her practice focuses on investment and commercial disputes arising in Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), including the successful representation of Bulgaria and Romania in four ICSID arbitrations. Baiju Vasani is an international arbitration lawyer and arbitrator. He has also advised states on the negotiation and drafting of investment treaties, and investors on the structuring of their investments. Baiju is a Senior Fellow of SOAS, University of London and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and sits on the panel of several arbitral institutions, including ICSID. He previously served as an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University and has given visiting lectures at, among other universities, Harvard, Northwestern, Columbia, and Bedfordshire.

Prof. Vincenzo Zeno-Zencovich is chairman of the Italian Association of Comparative Law. He is editor or member of the editorial board of several important Italian law reviews and author, co-author or editor of over two dozen books. He has been a legal advisor to the Italian Government in the last two decades in all the telecoms tenders and auctions. As a practising lawyer he has successfully litigated in landmark cases in damages for defamation, consumer protection, tobacco litigation and liability of providers.
