Andrew trained at the British School of Osteopat-hy (now UCO) and has 20 years experience run-ning a community based practice (treating ba-bies, children & adults). He is a senior lecturer in Osteopathic Technique (specialising in Structural Technique) and previously held the post of Head of 4th Year Practical Osteopathic Skills at the UCO (2008-2013). He also lectures at Wiener Schule

für Osteopathie (WSO) and Osteopathie Akademie München (OAM) where he teaches at both undergraduate and post graduate level.

Paul Hodges PhD, DSc, MD, BPhty (Hons) (AUS)

Paul Hodges is a National Health and Medical Re-search Council Senior Principal Research Fellow and Director of the Centre of Clinical Research Excellence in Spinal Pain, Injury and Health at The University of Queensland. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science, Australian Acade-my of Health and Medical Science, and the Aust-ralian College of Physiotherapists. In 2013 he

was made an Honoured member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, their highest honour. His research interests in move-ment, pain, respiration, continence and rehabilitation span from cells to humans, clinical trials and knowledge translation. His re-search in low back pain has led to effective treatments and greater

understanding of factors that underpin the transition from acute to chronic pain. He has received the ISSLS Prize for back pain research four times (2006, 2011, 2018, 2019) and this year was also awarded the GRAMMAR European Spine Journal Award. He has authored more than 400 peer reviewed papers that have been cited more than 21,000 times (Scopus), in addition to 36 book chapters and 4 books.

Prof. Wilfrid Jänig PhD emeritus (DEU)

Wilfrid Jänig is working at University Kiel in the Physiological Institute. His main scientific research interest relates to neurobiology of vegetative ner-vous system, mechanisms of neuropathic, visceral and inflammation pain. His results of research are transformed into teaching material, like books. From 1980 until 2011 Mr Jänig stayed in Israel, Australia, USA, England and Japan for research.

Since 1968 Jänig regularly teaches medical and manual osteopathic medicinestudents. He has authored and co-authored about 250 artic-les, about 60 articles in teaching books, more than 100 editorials and several books.

Prof. Sunil Kumar Joshi (IND)

Prof. Sunil Kumar Joshi, Indian Ayurveda-Therapist and international ambassador of Marma Therapy, takes the opportunity to lecture about his area of expertise for the first time in Germany. His tea-ching activities concerning Marma Science and –Therapy is particularly asked for at many Indian universities. For more than 10 years he is the head of department „Shalya Tantra“ at the Uttarakhand

Ayuved University in Hardwar (India). Many scientific books, articles and publications about Marma and its impacts on the human body have been published.

Benita Kropman (ZAF)

Benita Kropman has worked as a physiotherapist in South Africa since 1983, focussing on injury pre-vention and maximizing performance in elite sport. Since 1996, she has developed the Lyno Method, a holistic assessment model which deter-mines and eliminates the cause of chronic recur-ring injury, due to fascia dysfunction. She currently teaches this method globally.

Michael L. Kuchera PhD DO (USA)

Internationally known teacher and researcher in osteopathic manipulative medicine; Publications on numerous osteopathic subjects, co-author e.g. of Osteopathic Considerations in Systemic Dysfunc-tion; Specialized on: the effects of exercise in mul-tiple sclerosis and OMT in improving function and quality of life in Parkinson‘ s Disease; numerous awards, such as the AODA Gutenshohn Denslow

Award and was formerly President of the American Academy of Os-teopathy (AAO).

Gez Lamb (GBR)

Gez Lamb graduated from the ESO in Maidstone in 1982, having studied under John Wernham, Tom Dummer, Robert Lever, Harold Klug and Mervyn Waldman in an era when osteopathy was taught in small groups with intense indivi-dual tuition from those teachers who were only half a step removed from Martin Littlejohn and therefore to Still himself.

Upon graduation, Gez was invited to join Tom Dummer’s practice. Tom was the principal of the ESO and the world‘s foremost ex-ponent of SAT, and so Gez was exposed to early influences that shaped his understanding of how to deepen the healing response by using the most functional approach to bony manipulation.He has taught a kaleidoscope of subjects to 28 generations of os-teopathic students but now continues to teach SAT and PRM tech-niques to graduates since retiring from undergraduate teaching at the ESO in 2011. He has taught through the years in Austria, Canada, France, Ger-many, Italy, Russia. Spain and Sweden, and is currently expanding his International teaching commitments in order to promote the message of SAT.

Prof. Eyal Lederman PhD DO (GBR)

Dr. Eyal Lederman graduated from the British School of Osteopathy and has been in practice since 1986. He is the director of CPDO, an inter-national centre providing continuing professio-nal development for manual and physical thera-pists. He completed his PhD at King‘s College, London, where he researched the neurophysio-logy of manual therapy. He also researched and

developed Osteopathic Harmonic Technique, Osteopathic Functio-nal Neuromuscular Re-abilitation and Osteopathic Functional Stretching. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London (UCL), Institute of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Sci-ence UCL where has conducted research into post-surgery functio-nal movement rehabilitation. Apart from these activities, Dr. Lederman regularly teaches osteo-pathy and manual therapy to various groups and universities in the UK and abroad. He has published several articles & books in the area of manual therapy. He is currently writing a book titled ‚Functional Exercise Prescription in Movement Rehabilitation and Sports‘.

therapy, NLP, hypnosis, trauma therapy and EMDR; Founder of Bifo-cal Integration, Cofounder of Breathe Yoga. He teaches internatio-nally.

Dr. Stephen Sandlers main research interests inclu-de the effect of the female cyclic hormones on connective tissues and joint mobility. He was a Senior Lecturer at the British School of Os-teopathy in London from 1975 to 2017 and serves as external examiner for the Anglia Ruskin Univer-

Edward G. Stiles MD, DO (USA)

Graduated in 1965 from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and interned at Waterville Osteopathic Hospital (Maine) from 1965 to 1966. While in Kirksville he was mentored by George Andrew Laughlin, D.O., grandson of A.T. Still, the founder of Osteopathy. Later in Massachusetts he was mentored by and took over the practice from nationally honored physician Perrin T. Wilson,

one of the founding members of the American Academy of Osteo-pathy. In 1970 he was one of the original six physicians to be inclu-ded in the first Muscle Energy tutorials conducted by Fred L. Mit-chell. Since 1970 Dr. Stiles has taught internationally and is recognized as a leader in the field of osteopathic manipulative medicine education.

David Tatton DO (GBR)

Trained at the British School of Osteopathy quali-fying in 1979. He worked in several osteopathic practices opening his own private clinic, West London Osteopaths, a team of osteopaths, Pilates instructors, masseur and nutritionist.David taught Osteopathic Technique at The Bri-tish School of Osteopathy (now known as the University College of Osteopathy, UCO) for many

years as Senior Lecturer and co-head of the Osteopathic Technique Department. Also lecturing extensively in Osteopathic techniques on post-graduate courses in the UK, Germany, France, Sweden, and Norway.He has specialist knowledge of teaching structural osteopathic technique and HVLAT manipulation making osteopathic techniques as gentle and accurate as possible.

David has a keen interest in the application of osteopathic principles to many musculoskeletal conditions occurring in all ages of patients, with a great interest in understanding the presentations of each individual patient, identifying the aetiology and breakdown in the patient’s compensatory mechanisms. This approach helps to plan a precise treatment and rehabilitation program for each patient to achieve optimum function and reduce pain.

Mervyn is President of the Institute of Classical Os-teopathy, UK and has been working in hospitals and private practice in Israel since 1990 He quali-fied in 1974 from the British College of Osteopat-hic Medicine, London and continued his studies in osteopathy under the close tutelage of John Wern-ham and T.E.Hall. Working alongside John Wern-ham for some 15 years, a two volume text on Os-

teopathic Technique was co-authored and published in 1982. Articles and lectures on Classical Osteopathy have been published by the Institute as well as two sets of instructional DVD albums on Classical Osteopathic Technique.Mervyn has established hospital based workshops on Classical Os-teopathy in The Institute of Pain Medicine at the Rambam Hospital in Haifa, Israel, where he has been a member of staff since 2001. Its aim is to provide students and graduates an opportunity to see Classical Osteopathic treatment applied in a hospital setting with particularly difficult patients. He is also a regular guest lecturer both in Europe and Japan with a particular concern and interest to see the Institute of Classical Osteo-pathy flourish and continue to be the flagship of Classical Osteopathy world-wide.

Prof. Frank Willard PhD, DO (Hons) (USA)

Neuroanatomist, chair of anatomy at the universi-ty in New England - College of Osteopathic Medici-ne. Currently the most acclaimed international speaker and author on the interconnection of up-to-date scientific findings in neuroendocrinology, immunology, anatomy and embryology with os-teopathic teachings. Willard is specialized in pain mechanisms.
