No: KCG/Saptdhara/2018/1083) A Report on celebration of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking – 26 th June 2018 On 26 th June 2018 Faculties, students of Jayvantrai Harrai Desai Polytechnic, Palsana and members of ISTE student chapter (GJ – 67) have celebrated “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking” to raise awareness about drug abuse among students and to highlight the threat that drugs pose to our society. It is found that smoking and tobacco consumption is traditionally the first step towards drugs, as one addiction is not enough and the person yearns for more. The most vulnerable age is 18 years, when the person experiences transition from school life to college life. At the staring of the Event Mr. Hitesh S. Jariwala (Head, Mechanical Engineering Department) has introduced students and faculties with the importance of this day. He has also mentioned what are the effects of Drugs on human body, family and society in his speech. After that Mr. Nirlep P. Joshi (I/C Head, Electrical Engineering Department), gave a video presentation describing effect of Drugs on students and society. At the end of the program all present students and faculties have taken following pledge to make Drug free Society: I pledge to live a drug-free life. I pledge to spread awareness about a drug-free life. I pledge to help people who are affected by drugs. I pledge to create a drug-free community. I pledge to stay healthy and create a healthy campus.

On 26th June 2018 Faculties, students of Jayvantrai Harrai Desai Polytechnic, Palsana and members of ISTE student chapter (GJ – 67) have celebrated “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking” to raise awareness about drug abuse among students and to highlight the threat that drugs pose to our society.
