Dear Collegues,it is our honour to invite you to this International Symposium on �Modern Phar-macotherapy in Urology� in association with the 16th Annual Assembly of theInternational Medical Association �Bulgaria� (IMAB). This symposium is heldwithin the Disease Management Series (DMS) established by the InternationalSociety for Infection and Cancer (ISC). The aim of these scientific meetings isto discuss the optimal management of common infectious and malignant dis-eases together with well known experts in their field.

Since urinary tract infections (UTI) and other urological topics are of maininterest, this symposium was co-organized by national and internationalurological associations and societies dealing with infectious diseases. UTIs areamong the most common forms of kidney and urological diseases and playan important role for patients as well as for their physicians in hospitals and inthe community. Besides new intervention technologies, also medical treatmenthas made much progress in other fields of urology, especially in prostatic dis-eases and those concerning men�s health. The best way of diagnosis and treat-ment is mandatory.

The traditional general topics of the Annual Assembly of IMAB includeinfections and cancer (all aspects and all fields of medicine, not only urology),which opens a door for presentations in any medical specialty. Sessions �varia�will be organized simultaneously.

Preparing this symposium and the Annual Assembly of IMAB the inten-sive cooperation and warm friendship between societies from neighbouringcountries, Bulgaria and Turkey, was well accepted by all members of the Or-ganizing Committee and has indeed been noteworthy. We cordially invite youto take part in this unique symposium and to share with us the spirit of highlydevoted medical science as well as friendship beyond national borders in thebeautiful and historic city of Varna at the cost of the Black Sea.

Starting from the 16-th Annual Assembly of IMAB, the official < Journal of IMAB- Annual Proceedings (Scientific Papers) > will be published on-line accordingto the international rules and regulations for on-line scientific journals. Thelanguage for all papers to be included for publications will be only English.We are in a working procedure to obtain impact factor of the Journal.

All papers, presented at the IMAB+ISC Meeting in Varna, will be accepted forreview (by three independent referees) and only then can be directed to pub-lication in the Journal.
