PREDGOVOR INTRODUCTION

O tempora, o mores!

Ključno pitanje ovog vremena u kojem živimo, te razvoja i ishoda globalne politike jest - postizanje svjetskog

mira i uspostavljanje dijaloga među narodima. Postizanje te paradigme prije svega omogućavaju točke susreta gdje se predstavljaju, prikazuju i susreću pluralizmi identiteta, različitosti, posebitosti i sličnosti, zajednički interesi i naslijeđene predrasude… Neslućene su mogućnosti suradnje iopstanka ali i sukoba koji bi mogao okončati Armaggedonom i nestankom moderne civilizacije.

Naša stvarnost strahovitih ratova na Bliskom istoku, najbezočnijeg terorizma u srcu Europe, izbjegličke tragedije, islamofobije, ksenofobije, žice među granicama EU, pa mikro kataklizme iščezavanja društvenih slojeva i još mnogo raznorodnih sadržaja Pandorine kutije - jednostavno obvezuje da unutar vlastitih sfera djelovanja (duhovne djelatnosti - kulturnog proizvoda, filmske produkcije nastale na području Svilene ceste) budemo čimbenik koji poziva na dijalog, osvjetljuje, upoznaje one Druge I njihove vrijednosti bez nametanja svjetonazora bilo s koje strane – upravo na tragu onoga što je na istoj topici svjedočio putnik Marko Polo prije 7. stoljeća.

O tempora, o mores!

The key question of the time we’re living in, as well as for the development and outcome of global politics, is how to

achieve global peace and establish a lasting dialogue among the nations. Achieving this goal is possible first and foremost at the meeting points where various identities come together to represent their differences and similarities, as well as inherited prejudices…

There are plenty of possibilities for cooperation, but the prospect of a conflict that could end the modern civilization still looms.

Horrible wars in the Middle East, mindless terrorism in the heart of Europe, tragedy of the refugees, islamophobia, xenophobia, barbed wire

along the EU borders, social micro-cataclysm that devours entire social classes and many other contents of Pandora’s box simply require us to become a factor that calls to dialogue, enlightens, learns of “others” and their values without the imposition of social norms – exactly the kind of approach that traveler Marco Polo professed seven hundred years ago.

Međunarodni f i lmsk i fest iva l “PUT SVILE - PUT DIJALOGA” koji će se u organizaciji Instituta Marco Polo

održati u Korčuli od 22. - 27. rujna nastavit će bogati kulturni program u Korčuli i vjerujem da će potaknuti međukulturalnu suradnju i dijalog među državama sudionicima.

Za vrijeme trajanja festivala vidjet ćemo izbor filmova sirijske, turske, kineske, iranske, makedonske, ruske, indijske i hrvatske kinematografije, te kroz sadržaj koji nude dati skromni doprinos ideji uspostave dijaloga među različitim kulturama i narodima.

Održavanje festivala, koji želi promicati i podržavati osebujnost kinematografije zemalja na Putu svile, u gradu Marka Pola, Korčuli dodatno nas obvezuje da doprinesemo stvaranju tolerantnijeg društva koje teži upoznati različite vrijednosti a da ne nameće drugima vlastiti svjetonazor.

Kao gradonačelnik Grada Korčule podupirem održavanje Festivala u Korčuli i vjerujem da će kozmopolitski duh našega grada pomoći da festival “PUT SVILE - PUT DIJALOGA” postane tradicionalno okupljanje sudionika iz zemalja na Putu svile, koje čak ni ratne strahote u nekima od njih nisu spriječile u sudjelovanju ove godine.

that will take place in Korčula from September 22-27 continues the rich cultural program in Korčula. I believe that the Festival will inspire the development of cultural cooperation and dialogue among the participating countries.

During the Festival, we will be able to see a selection of movies from Syria, Turkey, China, Iran, Macedonia, Russia, India and Croatia, and thus make a modest contribution to the establishment of dialogue among different cultures and nations.

Holding the Festival that highlights the distinctive characteristics of

movie production from the countries located on the Silk Road in Marco

Polo’s hometown obliges us to contribute to the creation of a more tolerant society that strives to learn about different values without imposing own social norms.

As the Mayor of the City of Korčula, I support the Festival and trust that the cosmopolitan spirit of our city will help this event become a traditional gathering of participants from the Silk Road countries, some of which decided to participate in the Festival in spite of war atrocities.

VIZIJA FESTIVALA PUT SVILE – PUT DIJALOGA

OOvaj festival teži promicati, podražavati, graditi i ispoljavati osebujnosti kinematografija

nastalih na topici puta svile.

Želja nam je da festival put svile – put dijaloga, smjestivši ga u drevnom gradu Korčuli, koji je historiografski obilježen kao mitsko mjesto ishodišta putnika Marca Pola – postane mjesto radosnog cilja – razumijevanja važnosti kulture dijaloga i prožimanja različitog.

Za najbolje filmsko ostvarenje biti će dodijeljena keramika Ede Murtića – Golubica.

This fest iva l s t r ives to promote, build and present cinematography dealing with

the silk road.

By placing the festival in the ancient town of Korčula, which is known

as the mythical starting point of Marco Polo’s travels, we desire

to achieve a pleasurable goal – the understanding of the importance of dialogue and interaction among different civilizations.

This is why the Festival is called:

Silk Road – the Path of Dialogue.

The jury will award Edo Murtić’s

work “Dove” to the best movie that contributes to tolerance and peace in the world.

Program festivala predstavlja izbor iz recentne filmske produkcije zemalja koje participiraju zajednički prostor –

prostranstvo puta svile.

Taj prostor zasigurno je najvažnija komunikacija u povijesti čovječanstva koja povezuje tri ključna kontinenta u povijesti civilizacija. Međutim, Svilena cesta nije samo poveznica kopna odnosno mora tih kontinenata, tom su se komunikacijom prožimale umjetnosti istoka i zapada širile bitne religijske, i mistične predodžbe, filozofska strujanja, znanstvene, vojne i ekonomske spoznaje i otkrića, a uz nju su vezane i pojave uspona i pada velikih carstava i megadržava.

Iz tog i tako ocrtanog kruga , želja nam je bila okupiti sva nova, recentna, eksperimentalna, submisivna, radikalna, kreativna i nadasve osebujna ostvarenja na filmskom platnu nasta-la unutar ili izvan mainstreema – pri čemu pozornost usmjeravamo na izvrsnost i autorsku osebujnost.

INSTITUT MARCO POLOustrajno komunicira i razvija aktivnosti međukulturalne suradnje i dijaloga među državama partipicijentima Puta svile.

Stoga je za ovaj “nulti” INTERNACIONALNI FILMSKI FESTIVAL “PUT SVILE – PUT DIJALOGA” selekciju i odabir filmova načinila svaka zemlja sudionica ovog festivala.

Isto tako,, ratna stvarnost u nemalom broju država koje se nalaze na tom putu nije naškodila niti spriječila sudjelovanje istih .Tako će se u pet dana festivalskog programa moći vidjeti izbor filmova recentne sirijske, turske, kineske,, iranske, makedonske, azerbejđanske, indijske i hrvatske kinematografije,

Stoga, svi vi putnici i namjernici, koji upijate ljepotu ovog drevnog dragulja, ovo mitsko mjesto ishodišta putnika Marca Pola, ovoga grada kamenoklesara i graditelja veličanstvenih patricijskih palača, ovaj Ures svijeta, čuvenu Korčulu! (kako joj kliče nepoznati pjesnik iz xvi stoljeća) - dođite i sjedite pred filmsko platno, i pogledajte kako naši suvremenici opisuju svijet koji se odvija i živi i po beskrajnim prostranstvima Svilene ceste.

The festival presents a selection of recent movie production from the countries located on the silk road.

The Silk Road is almost certainly the most important link in the history of mankind, connecting three continents with the key role in the development of human civilization.

However, the Silk Road is not only a transportation link between the continents. It served as a cultural link between the cultures of the West and the East that helped share crucial religious, mystical and philosophical ideas, scientific, military and economic achievements and discoveries. It also contributed to the rise and fall of large empires and states.

It is our desire to collect all new, experimental, radical, creative and characteristic movie production, mainstream or not, primarily focused on excellence and peculiarity.

THE MARCO POLO INSTITUTE continuously develops intercultural cooperation activities and dialogue among the countries located along the Silk Road.

This is why each of the participating countries individually selected the movies for this “Zero” edition of the INTERNATIONAL MOVIE FESTIVAL “SILK ROAD – PATH OF DIALOGUE”.

FESTIVAL PROGRAM

It should be noted that the wars affecting more than one of the participating countries didn’t prevent them from participating.During the five days of the Festival, the audience will be able to see a selection of recent Syrian, Turkish, Chinese, Iranian, Macedonian, Azerbaijani, Indian and Croatian movie production.

We invite all of the fellow travelers who enjoy the beauty of this ancient gem, this mythical starting point of Marco Polo’s travels, a town of stonemasons and builders of magnificent patrician palaces, this adornment of the world, famous Korčula!

Come and join us in front of the wide screen and see how our contemporaries view the world that lies along the vast expanses of the Silk Road.

One can observe Azerbaijan people, culture and customs through the prism of Depardieu’s perception.

Making the same way as Alexandre Dumas many years ago, the spectator understands why the writer was so fascinated by this region.

POVRATAK U KAVKAZ Spektator ovog putopisnog dokumentarca glasoviti je i omiljeni Gerard Depardie, koji se uputio na dugo putovanje Azerbajđanskim predjelima do grada Kavkaza.Prolazeći isti put kao i njegov sunarodnjak Alexandre Dumas davne 1858. godine, upoznaje i susreće neobične suputnike, otkriva skrivena mjesta….ljude, običaje, kulturu i civilizacijske tekovine Azarbajdjana.

Na putu u Caucasus, Depardie iznosi osobnu percepciju ali i viđenje istoga okom svoga suputnika, akademskog slikara koji bilježi većinu situacija i predjela svojim perom i crtežom.

Povratak u naslovu filma označava potrebu za onim istim doživljajem koji je slavni A. Dumas opisao boraveći na Azerbajdžanskom tlu.

MRS. ZHANG’S RETIREMENT LIFE72-year-old Zhang Jingdi is a renowned Chinese dancer and professor.As a professional dancer. she formerly worked in the Department of performance of the central Academy of drama and taught Body Shaping.

Since retirement, she has contented physical training and tutoring young students and organizes exercises for aged community residents.

She voluntary serves the community and enjoys bringing healthy life attitude to people.

THE KEEPERSFeng Changcheng is an elderly Peking Opera amateur performer.

He dedicates himself to collecting opera costumes. The Peking Opera garments that he has collected over decades fill his home. Opera performers and Film crews at times also come to him to borrow from his collections.

Wang Jianxing comes here to paint and take photographs. He then analyzes, repairs and restores the statues enjoyment of the public.Mei Jingtian, an elderly man, lives in a village at the foot of the Great Wail.He and his friends have voluntarily taken on the duty of protecting the Greait Wall in Shixia Village in Yanqine County, Beijing.

Dongcheng District - Općina Dongcheng

Smješten u središtu Pekinga, općina Dongcheng je dugo bila središte umjetnosti ikulture. Tijekom posljednjeg desetljeća, postupno se razvila u središte kazališnih stvaranja i izvedbi .

Mnoge izvanredne filmove i kazališne zvijezde. U Dongchengu se nalazi jedno od najpoznatijih privatnih kazališta: Penghao kazalište.

Posebno valja spomenuti Središnju dramsku Akademiju koja je iznjedrila mnoge filmske zvijezde.

UMIROVLJENIČKI ŽIVOT GOSPOĐE ZHANG72 godišnja Zhang Jihadi je renomirana kineska plesačica i učiteljica plesa.

Cijeli svoj radni vijek marljivo je radila na Akademiji za dramu i scensko izvodjenje podučavajuči oblikovanje tijela.

U mirovini se posvečuje podučavanju mladih ali I onih starijih.Uživa donositi ljudima dašak zdraavog života i životnog stava.Ova 72 godišnjakinja volontira i to je ispunjava.

Č U V A R I

Radnja prati živote triju likova različitih interesa i dobi.Feng Chancheng je stari pekinški amaterski izvodjač opera. Posvetio je život sakupljanju kostima za operu. Kostimi pekinške opere koje je sakupio tijekom godina krase njegov dom.

Mnogi izvođači opera i filmske ekipe nerijetko dolaze u njegov dom i tu posuđuju kostime za svoje projekte.

Wang J. posvetio se zaštiti okoliša a Mei Jihaxns živi u selu pored Kineskog zida.

Sa svojim prijateljima volonterima zauzima se za očuvanje tradicije Kineskog zida. Mei je također kolekcionar kulturnih relikvija, te kroz njih educira djecu u osnovnim školama o boljem razumijevanju povijesti Kineskog zida.

This is Bosnian-Croatian-Slovenian drama film about a grieving, but strong-willed Bosniak woman, Halima, who must track down her estranged niece in order to recover the bones of her son lost during the war in Bosnia in the 1990s. The film was selected as the Croatian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards but it was not nominated.

Halimin put je tragična i inspirativna priča o ožaloščenoj, no odlučnoj Muslimanki Halimi koja nakon rata u Bosni pokušava pronaći ostatke svog sina koji je ubijen u ratu u Bosni.Ona shvaća da mora pronaći svoju davno nestalu nećakinju koju povezuje određena tajna s njezinim nestalim sinom.

Nakon sto je pronađe, Halimine najgore noćne more se počinju ostvarivati. Stim otkrićem spirala tragičnih događaja iz prošlosti nastavlja se uznemirujući još jednom nesretne živote svih protagonista.

Also, the audience shows their development and it is so easy to drink approaching three completely different to us relatively unknown religious and civilizational circles – Islamic (Arabic), Hindu (Indian) and Buddhist (Far).

There are 50 different colors of soil in Hormuz Island. An eco artist travels to the island to teach the women inhabitants how to create fine works with painting the colorful soil on the glass. Women enthusiastically participate in his workshop.

They begin painting and selling their works to the tourists. Art helps them to improve their economical situation as well. When the artist inhabits in the island, different stories begin...

CHERRIES LETTERSyrian movie and a national work of art, that is signed and directed by the Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakherji. The film won the Best Film prize in 31st Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries within the award competitions of the late Nour El-Sherif for Arab film making.
