International KULI User Meeting 2019May 22nd - 23rd, Linz / Austria

CALL FOR PAPERS

Vehicle thermal management has become a key enabler for overall vehicle efficiency and modern thermal systems combine the previously separated domains of cooling system and HVAC system design. This poses challenges but also interesting new opportunities for thermal engineers.

Heat pump systems to overcome EV range problems in winter, A/C chillers for battery systems in hot summer conditions… these are just two examples where the worlds of cooling system design and air conditioning merge to a modern thermal management approach. But also in conventional combustion engine systems the pressure from increasingly strict environmental regulations leads to more complex systems and new components. And this trend currently spreads from passenger car applications and trucks to off-highway applications.

This leads to an ever increasing demand for system level thermal simulation models… to investigate different variants in early design phases, to assess the potentials of new components and technolo-gies and, last but not least, for the virtual development of optimized control strategies. Our KULI user meeting offers you an opportunity to learn about the latest trends and developments.

We focus on the following topics:

• System level vehicle thermal management simulation

• Electric vehicles, hybrids and combustion engine cars

• Coupled simulation and cooling system control strategies

• Performance of components, benefit statements and variant investigations

We would like to motivate you to present a paper and to share the success of this event with us.

On May 21st we invite you to join the free of charge KULI newcomer workshops at Engineering Center Steyr, St. Valentin. The user friendly modular structured KULI is tailored to the particular user needs at minimal effort on training, base knowledge and hardware.

Save the date now. We promise, you won’t regret it!
