Alta Motet Choir and Ensemble Noor, Den Norske Opera & Ballett, November 8 at 18.30Musical traditions from northern Norway and the grandeur of the natural world colour characterise the programme when Alta Motet Choir visits the Oslo Opera House for the first time.One of the main works, Havblikk, is inspired by the shifting of the sea with its special sounds. The work is written specifically for the choir, and is being performed for the first time.The second main work, Rámádusat, was composed by Bjørn Andor Drage for the opening of Nordlyskatedralen (Cathedral of Northern Lights) in Alta in 2013. Really…?!, Latter, November 6 at 21.00Daniel is one of the biggest comedy artists at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and even though he is only 24 years-old he has sold out all his shows there.Over the past 8 years he has performed to tens of thousands of people in Edinburgh, breaking box office records. The Flying Dutchman, Den Norske Opera & Ballett, until November 21 Richard Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman is the story of a ghost doomed to sail the oceans forever. The curse can only be broken if a woman gives him her love.Director Andreas Homoki and set designer Wolfgang Gussmann have set the action in a Norwegian shipping company at the start of the 20th century, with exaggerated descriptions of provincialism and the Norwegian merchant class.
