How to Create a Study Abroad Program in EIGHT Easy Steps
Step 1: Create the Course (the faculty study abroad course proposal form can help) Determine Location Set study abroad dates Decide on course number, title, and description (get approval from appropriate parties) Develop trip highlights Develop a budget and per student program cost (see budget worksheet) Step 2: Submit the Faculty Study Abroad Course Proposal Form, which includes: All of the above detailsAdditional student application information requests Flyers, pictures, or otheradvertising information Step 3: Finalize the itinerary and submit the details to the OSA Step 4: Review student applications and select appropriate students to participate (Student applications are all turned into the OSA. The OSA will set the course up in the master schedule and register all students.) Step 5: Pay study abroad expenses and put down deposits (The student payment schedule is below. All payments will be transferred to the departments within a week of the deadlines) Step 6: Attend Outbound Orientation Sessions (All outbound faculty and students must attend) Step 7: Bon Voyage!! Step 8: Complete the Post-Study Abroad Evaluation
