TIPS FOR STAYING IN STATUS• Maintain a full course of study at all times;
• No more than three (3) credit hours of coursework delivered via “online” or “distance” may be used toward minimum enrollment requirements;
• Do not exceed 20 hours of on-campus employment in any one week;
• Do not work or volunteer off-campus without checking with ISS first;
• Update your Address every time it changes and within 10 calendar days of the change;
• Review the ISS Website.
ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS• Graduate Students with a Graduate Staff
Appointment:• Fall and Spring, minimum 6 credit or research hours;• Summer minimum 3 credit or research hours;
• Graduate students without a Graduate Staff Appointment:
• Fall and Spring, minimum 8 credit or research hours;• Summer minimum 6 credit or research hours;

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICE OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND SCHOLARS
(ISS) Last year more than 9,000 students representing 133* nations and 1642 international faculty and staff representing 78* nations were a part of the Boilermaker family.
ISS is committed to the internationalization of Purdue University by providing appropriate services and support to international clientele and various University departments and offices. ISS seeks to enhance the academic, cultural, and social pursuits of students and scholars from abroad through knowledge and expertise in programming, engagement, immigration, and advising.
INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP PROGRAMThe International Friendship Program is a program offered through International Student Services which connects new international Boilermakers with local community hosts for friendship and support as they transition to living in Greater Lafayette.
