THE CHALLENGES OF ECONOMIC SCIENCE AND PRACTICE

IN THE 21st CENTURY

This year, the Faculty of Economics in Niš will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its existence and work. Over the past half century of its existence, the Faculty of Economics has excelled in the field of education, research and development and secured its position among the leading institutions of economic profession.

Traditionally, throughout its fifty-year history, the Faculty of Economics has organized scientific conferences on current issues on the occasion of the Faculty Day. Each year, the number of participants is growing increasingly as well as the number of countries the authors come from.

Considering the important challenges facing economic science and practice under contemporary business conditions, this year, to mark the 50th anniversary of existence, we have chosen as the main topic of the traditional conference The Challenges of Economic Science and Practice in the 21st Century.

The primary aim in choosing the topic has been to bring to light the obstacles that stand in the path of further development of economic theory and practice and the ways of removing them. The aim is also to create a stimulating environment that allows fruitful debates on various interest areas. An international convention enabling open discussion on the undertaking research of all the participants would therefore optimize individual experiences and bring its contribution to scientific knowledge.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WRITTING PAPERS

The papers should be written in English. Author/coauthor is allowed to submit maximal two papers, but only one paper as the first author. Papers should have no more than 15 pages prepared according to Template. The Template can be downloaded using the following link: http://www.eknfak.ni.ac.rs/ISC2010/dl/Template.doc .

For writing papers use the Template annexed to this call. The papers that do not conform to the instructions of the Template will be returned for revision and fixes.

When submitting the papers you should specify the t hematic area.

PARTICIPATION FEE

The participation fee is charged per person (first author) and is 120 € (VAT included). The participants should pay the equivalent value in Serbian dinars on the day of payment. The participation fee for each additional participant (co-author) is 75 € (VAT included).

The participation fee for doctoral students is 60 € (VAT included).

The participation fee should be transferred to the account of the Faculty of Economics (account number: 840-1683666-17) after you have been informed about the acceptance of your paper. The payment can also be done in cash at the registration desk before the Conference.

The participation fee payment, two positive reviews and oral presentation at the Conference are prerequisites for the publication of the papers. Conference Proceedings will be published after the Conference.

The participation fee covers the conference proceedings, conference material, participation certificate, cocktail lunch and dinner.
