LIVING COSTS FOR AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT LIVING IN MELBOURNE IInternational students must demonstrate that they have adequate funds to support their study and living in Melbourne. COURSE OVERVIEWThis course prepares students to become a Myotherapist specialising in the assessment, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal conditions. A qualified Myotherpaist uses clinical skills to locate sources of symptoms and identify dysfunctions. Dry needling, cupping and Tens machine are used in conjunction with Myotherapy techniques to treat clients. Underpinning knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics and pathology is required to understand the relationship between myofascial aspects and the relation of muscles and connective tissues to other systems of the body.

. Students enrolled into a massage qualification at MTI are required to undertake supervised Practical Experience throughout their course in order to complete their qualification
The purpose of Practical Experience is to give students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge and practical techniques in realistic massage environments.
Practical experience includes delivering massages in our MTI Student Clinic.
Students are required to play various roles in the Clinic environment:
Receptionist
Massage Therapist
Administrator
Cleaner and equipment maintenance
The onsite massage clinic is open to the general public and operates multiple days per week each term. Each of our 18 massage rooms have been professionally equipped as in a professional spa clinic.

STUDENT INFORMATION
ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS
All classes at Max Therapy Institute are conducted in English. International students are required to show evidence that they have the required level of English proficiency during the application process. Students who do not meet the minimum English requirements for their intended course, MTI also have partnership arrangements with many ELICOS providers who are able to offer English Pathways.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)*
MTI acknowledges that some students may have gained certain competencies of our courses though previous study or work experience. These competencies may be recognised through the RPL assessment process. Qualified assessors, conduct RPL assessment to ensure that the evidence provided meets the rules of evidence. RPL application forms are available on the college website or from the college administration officer.
CREDIT TRANSFERS*
Credit transfer will be awarded for qualifications or a statement of attainment that may include units that are not a direct match but align with the content from the units within the course that the student is applying for. For example, some qualifications or statements of attainments may contain units that are from an older version of a Training Package but the content is considered equivalent. Students should indicate on the enrolment form that they are seeking course credit and provide certified copies of qualifications, including a record of results or a statement of attainment.
STUDENT VISA INFORMATION
To be eligible for a student visa application, students must first be accepted for full-time study with MTI.
Prior to enrolling it is important that students have a sound understanding of the visa regulation for their country of origin.
