Breaking the Mould

We recently made a great investment in new machinery at our Trafford Park branch, including a new moulding machine; The Powermat 1200.

Reliability, short setup times and maximum wood yield are seen with the use of the Powermat, which is why we just had to add it to the list.

The wood can be processed in a single pass; first by four-sided planning and then by splitting resulting in high production capability. During this process the workpiece is pressed flat against the guiding surfaces, resulting in significant savings in material.

Moisture Matters

While often overlooked, a quality wood moisture meter is vital to the long-term success of any woodworking project you put together.

Wagner IntelliSenser® Technology Moisture Meters makes our list because it is pinless and uses technology that is not affected by the surface moisture on the wood. Meters that have pins, penetrate the surface of the wood and can leave tiny holes that mar the surface, which could require filling.

Jointer
