The 15th Heimtextil Russia opened its doors from 25 to 27 September, 2013 at the IEC Crocus Expo in Moscow, Russia and gathered the key players of the international textile business.

Always spectacular, Heimtextil Russia represents a highlight for the industry. This year, a total of 15,117 professional trade visitors saw the best collections of textile and wall coverings, presented by 311 companies from 21 countries: Austria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Germany, Greece, Egypt, India, Spain, China, Moldova, UAE, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Russia, USA, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, France. Once again, the national pavilions of Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Pakistan, Portugal, Turkey participated as well as, newcomer pavilions from India and Taiwan.

Leaders of the home and interior textile industry took part in Heimtextil Russia 2013, and among them such representatives of the Russian market as DECOLUX, Ujut, Rich Art, Teatr Tkaney, Decoline, Livena Lux, Hometex, Liontex, Monolit. The latest collections of international textiles were exhibited by Eke, Hefel, Texathenea, Aydin Orme, Sleepwell Kauffmann, Zorlu, Angelo Carillo & C S.p.A., Welspun Global Brands Ltd, etc. Already traditional for Heimtextil Russia is the special show for wallpaper and wall coverings, included the leading Russian and foreign companies KT Exclusive, LeDimore, Art-Master and Pan-El.

Heimtextil Russia reaches new level of quantitative and qualitative growth

In 2013 Heimtextil Russia used the motto of Heimtextil 2013/2014 Being trend book “Who we are and how we live”. The concept zone, named Passion Area and combined with the fringe programme was decorated by the Fair partner KAVER DESIGN studio according to the Heimtextil 2013/2014 trends. The fabrics and pillows for decoration of the Passion Area were kindly provided by KT Exclusive, Dr. Deco, Anka, Apolena, Decolux, Eastern Silk, Polosvet, Cegi, Semiramis, Ozkan Merve, Pavlovo-Posadsky Shelk, Neutex, Cevikel and others. General Media Partner ELLE Decoration magazine provided RED IK HORSE in the shape of full size red horses by designer Kamil Ismailov, and they ideally complemented the general composition of the Passion Area.

In these surrealistic settings the fringe programme with workshops and seminars of the leading European and Russian designers was held. The Dutch designer Ms. Anne Marie Commandeur (stijlinstituut amsterdam design studio), Peter Ketley, Director of the English company Harlequin, Irina Samokhina, a teacher of the International Design School, Milla Rezanova, the famous Moscow designer and founder of Covi Club and other speaker conducted workshops, that generated great interest among the visitors.

Leading industry event in Russia shows latest textile trends and inspirations in home and interior design market

Heimtextil Russia always cooperates with professional designers and looks for new talents. In 2012, KAVER DESIGN studio was the winner of the design competition, and starting in 2013, the studio began to work in cooperation with Heimtextil Russia as a new fair partner, having decorated Passion Area concept zone.

HEIMTEXTIL RUSSIA 2013 CONTEST FOR THE BEST 3D INTERIOR DESIGN

Also within the framework of Heimtextil Russia 2013 and with participation of Covi Club and ELLE Decoration magazine, a design contest was held for the best 3D-interior following the four themes of the Heimtextil 2013/2014 Trend Book.

Exhibitor statementsPan El (Russia), Inna SakharovaAt Heimtextil Russia we were able to reach our goals and expectations. This year, the visitors were not only interested in textiles, but also showed interest in wallpaper products. We found many customers among the visitors and will definitely be back for Heimtextil Russia 2014.

SUPERtextil (Turkey), Metin TurhanFor us, Heimtextil Russia 2013 was better than last year. We knew that the fair would be good, but it was even better, than we expected in terms of visitors. It’s too bad that the fair lasts only 3 days, it would be better to have more days. The visitors were both from Moscow and other regional cities. The fair organization is better this year. We are planning to take part in Heimtextil Russia next year with a bigger space.

United Weaver’s (Egypt), Deepak ChopraThe fair is visually very impressive. We are participating for the first time and have met a lot of buyers, mainly from Moscow. Among the visitors were both retailers and distributors, which is ok for us. The organization is perfect; we always received the help we needed. If the situation in Egypt is stabil, then we will take part in the fair again next year for sure.

Urbanika (Russia), Yulia VavilinaThis is our second time at Heimtextil Russia. It is the key trade fair for distributors and maufacturers of textiles, that is why it allows us to receive the maximum number of mutually profitable contacts in this field. It’s a high level fair of international format, which is reflected in the organization of the event, the quality of the represented brands and the design of the booths.

Sarlas S.A./Protos Textile (Greece), Natalia PolonskayaWe are taking part in Heimtextil Russia for the first time. On the first day of the fair, there were so many customers at our booth, that we couldn’t leave for even a minute until late afternoon. Of course, we enjoyed this rush. The visitors’ profile fully met our expectations. That’s what we wanted – to meet people from the regions. Most of our clients were from the regions – the Urals, Siberia and very many clients from the Southern region – Rostov, Krasnodar, Stavropol. We hope to take part in Heimtextil Russia next year - there are no similar events of its kind in Russia.

Monolit (Russia), Evgenia LukianovaWe are pleased with everything, the first two days of the fair we saw a very concentrated number of visitors. The high level of contact intensity also left a positive impression. Our company is large – we have 30 branches around the country. Many clients found us on the fair which is also a plus for us. There were many design studios, and it’s a new niche for us that we will explore in the furture.

Irisette (Germany), Marcus EvertzWe are participating in Heimtextil Russia for the second time and have noticed a considerably improvement compared to last year. The overall impression is very good and everything is very well organized. The customer frequency was very high and we had the right customers at our booth from mostly small or medium retailers.

L3C (France), Michal JarzebinskiOur overall impression is very good. The transport and logistics works well, the staff gets in touch with you when required, everything is perfectly organized. The high standards of Messe Frankfurt have all been met.

I also would like to mark that the quality of the visitors this year differs from last year: now there are more professionals. The general impression of the Fair is positive. I think we will participate in Heimtextil Russia next year.
