Target Group
• Undergraduate students from all over the world who want to get to
know Germany and the German language within the context of an
academic semester abroad, without missing out on lectures (and
credits) at their home university
• Up to now there have been students from the US, Canada, China, South
Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Taiwan, Paraguay,
Hungary, Haiti, Ukraine.
One more study opportunity for international students, which offers
• A study program for undergraduate students with little or no knowledge of German
• Adjustment to international/North American academic calender (March till June and September till December)
• Transfer of grades to home university
• Intensive German language classes
• Culture program
• Immersion through participation in regular Marburg classes
• (if agreed upon) Exchange places for Marburg students

Cultural/Supporting program:
• 3 weekend field trips to Berlin and a two other German cities like
Dresden, Leipzig, Köln or Hamburg
• Orientientation program
• Program in Marburg, e.g. pub crawls, bowling, tour of the town
• Contact persons always available/ On Call Cell Phone
Costs
€ 5,350 This divides into
€ 2,100 for tuition, including:
– Language Course (120 hours)
– German History and Culture Course (56 hours)
– 2 Seminars (48 hours each)
– Optional German Conversation Course (36 hours)
€ 3,250 for room, board etc., including:
– Study material
– Cultural program
– Accommodation (single room in student dormitory)
– Meal subsidy
– Semester administration fee including ticket for free public transport
