• A multimedia file that is available online and can be downloaded to your portable multimedia player.
VoIP
• Short term for “Voice over Internet Protocol
• It is a technology that allows people to send voice across the internet using Internet Protocol.
Online Chat
• It refer to any kind of communication over the internet.
• Messages can be send to groups of people or to an individual.
• It can be text-based or video-based (using webcams).
• It is usually done using tools like Instant Messengers or web sites like Facebook.
WWW
• Short for “World Wide Web”.• It consists of public web sites
connected to the internet.• It is one of the many applications of
the internet and computer networks.
Streaming
• A techniques used by many which allows people to transfer data so that it can be processed as a steady and continuous stream.
Blog
• It is a personal website or web page on which an individual shares some information, experiences, opinions, links to other sites etc. regularly.
Social Networking
• It is the use of web sites such as Facebook and twitter or applications that allows a person to communicate with other users or find people who share the same interests.

• Also known as “news feed”. • It is a data format that is used for providing
users with frequently updated content.
URL
• Stands for “Uniform Resource Locator”.• It is a formatted text string that is used by
Web browsers and other software to identify network resources (Ex. Documents, web pages etc.) on the internet.
