Position Description:
Technical Materials Internship with A Ganar
Partners of the Americas seeks a disciplined
team player to support its A Ganar Alliance in
monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
A Ganar utilizes team sports to help youth in
Latin America and the Caribbean find jobs,
learn entrepreneurial skills and re- enter the
formal education system. Established in 2005,
the program has trained over 10,000 youth in
16 countries throughout the region.
Requirements
• Experience working in a
multicultural environment
• Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese,
French, Haitian Creole, and/or
Dutch preferred
• Graduate student with experience in curriculum development and/or technical materials preparation preferred
• Minimum 20 hours per week
Key Deliverables
• Spearhead the review of curriculum
materials from over 14 countries
• Work with field staff via email,
phone, and Skype to develop new
lesson plans that utilize sport as an
educational tool

proofreading, editing, design and

Partners of the Americas seeks a dedicated and
independent intern to provide support to the
International Business Fellows Matching
Program.
This program promotes the exchange of best
business practices across the Western Hemisphere
by selecting leaders from small and medium-sized
enterprises to participate in six-week fellowships
in the US. Currently, thirty fellows from across
Chile and Costa Rica are completing their
fellowships through June 2013.

and knowledgeable intern to provide
support to its Legislative Fellows Program.
The Legislative Fellows Program promotes
good governance and democracy at the local
level through professional exchanges. Partners
of the Americas has facilitated over 70
exchanges focused in transparency,
accountability, citizen advocacy and
participation throughout Central and South
America and the Caribbean.
Requirements
• Strong written and oral skills in
English and Spanish
• Knowledge of leadership
development, volunteerism,
professional exchanges, community
development and social networking in
Latin America
• Academic major or interest in
political science highly desirable
• Previous monitoring and evaluation

Youth Engagement Internship
Partners of the Americas seeks a self-
motivated and dedicated intern to support its
Youth Engagement (YE) team.
Throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, and
the US, YE implements diplomacy
programming that fosters youth leadership,
intercultural exchanges and a long-term
commitment to service. Since 2003, YE has
implemented programs in over 15 countries
and worked with over 850 youth.
Requirements

Position Description:
Climate Change Internship
Partners of the Americas seeks an intern to work
within our climate change unit, which supports
the Energy and Climate Partnership of the
Americas (ECPA) initiative.
This program sends pre-selected US technical
experts from across the non-profit or private
sectors to serve as consultants and speakers to
countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
From 2011 through 2012, Partners of the Americas
and ECPA have together administered 20 of these
professional exchanges.
Requirements
• Strong written and oral communication

Farmer to Farmer Internship
Partners of the Americas seeks an intern to
support its Farmer to Farmer program, which
improves economic opportunities by focusing on
select agricultural value chains and providing
technical assistance to farmers, cooperatives,
agribusinesses, government agencies and other
institutions.
Partners has implemented the Farmer to Farmer
Program for 21 years and has sent over 1,500
technical experts on assignments, directly
benefiting over 85,000 people. The program
currently focuses on the Dominican Republic,
Guyana, Haiti and Nicaragua, with select activities
in other countries.
Requirements
• Strong written and oral skills in English
and Spanish
• Interest in international development,
specifically in the area of agriculture

support to Ambassadors for Prosperity, its

Ambassadors for Prosperity is a volunteer and
intern placement program for students and
young professionals visiting Colombia. The
program allows a wide variety of individuals
and organizations to engage in meaningful
volunteer programs in Colombia with
reputable non-profit organizations.

PartnersCampuses have given students throughout

projects. Our student network now spans 8
countries and includes 18 Partners Campuses.

The President’s Office is the executive, decision-

robust network of chapter volunteers, programs,
and affiliated supporters. Interns for the
President’s Office will have opportunities to
work directly with Partners’ president & CEO
and engage in experiential, self-directed learning
projects.
