Find a member of The GUIDONs Editorial Board*. Consult him or her on what their work entails, and his or her anticipated needs for their staff in the year ahead. Based on what was learned, create a design concept (e.g. including wireframes, projected capabilities) for a small functional prototype that addresses a specific need posed by the editor.

The prototype must be designed for either the web, iOS (for iOS 8 or lat-er), or the Android platform (for Kitkat or later, but preferably using the Material Design standard). As this is just a prototype, polish and sheen are not required, yet highly appreciated.

Alongside your concept, prepare a maximum two-page brief on your prototype. This brief must include the editors position, specific need addressed, the platform used (and any third-party frameworks), and your rationale explaining the process you took in building this piece of software.

Further instructions will be provided for delivery of this requirement.

*Please conduct yourself on your best behavior when you are speaking to an Editorial Board member. Any complaints from any editor regarding your conduct will be cause for an immediate termination of your appli-cation to the Digital Media staff.

    6. Sample work. An online link to a portfolio or a collection of works (such as a Github account or personal website) is preferred. Specify if projects were accomplished alone or in cooperation with other people, the languages and technologies used (e.g. if website: JQuery, Bootstrap, Rails, other frameworks, etc.) and if publicly available (e.g. if website is easily accessible, if app is available via online distribution, etc).

    7. Interview with the editor. Sign-ups will be provided for a short inter-view with the editor. The interview will be held at The GUIDON Publica-tions Room (MVP 202), unless specified otherwise.
