It consists of interaction between interviewer and the applicant. Interview is the most widely used selection technique because of its easiness. It is an attempt to secure maximum possible information about the candidate.

PLACEMENT

After a candidate is selected for employment ,he is placed on the job. Initially the placement may be on probation; After the successful completion of the Probation period, the candidate may be offered permanent employment.

INDUCTION

Induction is a technique by which a new employee is rehabilitated into the changed surroundings. In other words , it is the process of introducing the employee to the organisation and vice versa.

❶ Frustration is likely to develop because of ambiguity. In such a case Induction is needed through which relevant information can be provided.

❷ Effect of induction can minimize the impact of reality shock some new employees may undergo.
