We would like to take this splendid opportunity to express our hearty gratitude to our computer science department giving us this opportunity to do a project in Software Engineering.

Particularly we are grateful to our sir Lecturer in-charge for Software Engineering.

We wish to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff members in computer laboratory of our department. We are thankful for our department and my group members.

By this project we made a software for a bus system of Jaffna to help the passengers of the SLTB to know the usual bus route details as routeno,time,intermediate routes, charge and distance and the staff informations also.

We collected informations from bus depots. Here in Jaffna there is no online facilities for

our passengers.We tried to do this with some of the fulfillments. We hope that our software fulfill some of their needs.

CONTENTS OF OUR PROJECT

Passengers can know the route numbers of the buses for their selected source(From) and destination(To).

Passengers can know their route bus’s timetable.

Passengers can know the places between their source(From) and destination(To).

Passengers can know the bus charge and distance between their source(From) and destination(To)

Drivers and conductors are the staffs who can see their details.

Permanent Staffs can know their salary details

Casual staffs also can know their salary details

ABOUT THE PASSENGER VIEW

A Passenger can give the arrival and departure place to know the SLTB bus facilities.

Passenger can get the route numbers for his arrival and departure places.

Passenger can get the routes(stops) between his/her arrival and departure.

Staff can know his salary details.

Our project Inter Jaffna Bus Route Links should satisfy the passengers’ most of the needs on the bus route detail services and the staffs who are important to run the bus and to the public required things.

CONCLUSION

At a time a passenger is reading the times if a bus won’t come a message is given to the passengers.

Give the change of the bus route numbers on weekends and public holidays.
