ITINERARy... Days 1-3 Vienna/Bratislava Soak up the

splendour of Austria’s capital on a stroll into the city centre. Pass

the Gothic St Stephen’s Cathedral and the enchanting Hofburg

Palace before continuing around the Ringstrasse. Of course, there’s

always plenty of time to sample local delicacies like Sachertorte

or a Wiener wurstel. Take a day trip to Bratislava to discover the

history of this utterly captivating Slovakian capital. Days 4-5 Cesky

Hundred Spires’ never fails to charm with its gorgeous architecture,

crooked streets and buzzing nightlife. Walk through the Old Town

for a tantalising glimpse of Bohemia - wander the courtyards of

Prague Castle, cross the Charles Bridge and be sure to investigate

the city’s thriving jazz scene. Day 9 Teplice Gain insight into rural

Czech life on a stay at a family-run pension. Pass the afternoon

contemplating the weird and wonderful sandstone formations in

the nearby rock forest. Feeling adventurous? Perhaps climb steep

stairs and ladders to a spectacular lookout point. Days 10-11

Krakow Cross the border into Poland and stop for a sombre visit

at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and State Museum before

continuing on to Krakow. This city has much to offer - see St Mary’s

Church, listen for the hourly bugle call in the city’s square and be

sure to indulge in some delicious pierogi, a traditional Polish dish.

Tatras, where the crisp mountain air and stunning views make for

an unforgettable hike. Enjoy local hospitality at the Slovakian alpine

a grid-like layout. Linking the two is the Chain Bridge, spanning the

sparkling River Danube. Take a moment to marvel at the Parliament

Building and charming Castle District. With museums, galleries and

ITINERARy... Day 1 Barcelona See great works of art in the

Picasso Museum, head to the waterfront for a seaside paella, soak

up the festive vibe on a stroll down Las Ramblas, or catch the

funicular to Montjuic for sweeping views of the city - Barcelona

offers something for every taste. Day 2 Pamplona For centuries

Pamplona has served as both a military stronghold and an

important point on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail.

Get familiar with this city on an orientation walk. Meander down

winding alleys and step inside ornate cathedrals - the Gothic

cathedral here is one of the most important religious buildings in

Spain. Days 3-4 San Sebastian With its beautiful Old Town, a

lively beach scene and a plethora of pintxos bars, San Sebastian

is the perfect place to kick back and relax. Why not take a walk to

the top of Mt Urgull for memorable views over the town below, or

catch the bus to Bilbao to be awed by Frank Gehry’s architectural

masterpiece, the Guggenheim. Days 5-6 Logrono Travel to this

northern Spanish town, noted for its delicious Rioja wine. Drop

by the wine museum to learn more about this region’s famous

tipple, then take time to visit the cathedral or to enjoy a leisurely

stroll along the river. Days 7-8 Madrid Arrive in a city overflowing

with world-class art galleries, atmospheric city squares, manicured

parks and gardens and heaving nightclubs and bars. Make time

to celebrate the end of this Spanish adventure by visiting one of

Madrid’s lively neighbourhoods. Try tapas, sample some local wine

and quickly discover why this is one of Spain’s most loved cities.

famed region. Days 7-8 Nice Board a train to the jewel of the

French Riviera. There’s plenty of time here to relax and explore

the beaches, nightlife and glamour of the Cote d’Azur. Days 9-10
