Consent Order to Reduce CSOs
In 2012, DEP and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC)
signed an Amended Consent Order.
Commitment to spend $1.5 billion to manage 1” of stormwater runoff from
10% of impervious surfaces in combined sewer areas by 2030.

The area-wide approach allows DEP to:
