    What is propaganda?

    (Propaganda Example).

    Propaganda is something meant to influence the public in some way (“What”).

    If it is the intent of something to change your opinion on something else, you can consider it at least mild propaganda.

    While some propaganda may be in support of what some consider a good cause, we will be talking about the use of propaganda by the Nazi party during the Holocaust.

    Hitler

    Leader and figurehead of the Nazi party.

    Gave famously powerful speeches.

    (Adolf).

    Goebbels

    Dr. Goebbels is often referred to as “the man who made Hitler” (Pearce).

    Key to victory in many elections, especially Reichstag.

    Minister of the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda.

    Goal: Spread Nazi message through the media and the arts (Nazi).

    Films and newspapers very important.
