Conclusion

HongKongemployerscon>nuetohiregraduates,partlybecauseofthepercep>onthattheyare

willing to follow instruc>onsandcommand lowersalaries thanmoreexperiencedrecruits.The

toppreferredindustriesforfreshgraduatesarebankingandfinance,mediaandcommunica>ons

andthegovernmentsector.

Thesurveyfindingsshowthatgraduateswhoareconfidentintheirownabili>esalsotendtobe

posi>ve about their futures in theworkplace. However, there is room for improvement – the

reportsuggeststhatwhilecandidatesarerela>velywilingtolearnandfacechallenges,theyare

lackingwhenitcomestoworkingindependently.
