The conference rooms of the Karl-Jaspers Centre
Information for the Speakers at the Annual Conference 2014
1 Introduction
There are two conference rooms in the premises of the Karl-Jaspers-Centre, which will be used for the Annual Conference. They all are equipped with a beamer, a sound system and a strong Wi-Fi Signal. In order to inform you about the differences in the default equipment of the separate rooms we created this little overview.
Please contact the IT in time, if you require further technical devices.
2 Your presentation
We want to ensure that everything runs smoothly during the Annual Conference. That is why we would like to test your presentation for compatibility issues in advance. Also we will save a copy of your presentations on the computers, which will be used during the panels.
Please help us prevent technical problems and stressful last minute copying from usb sticks by send -ing in your presentation before the annual conference starts.

3 Room 212
Room 212 is the largest of our conference rooms. It offers room for more than 100 people, when arranged in theatre style seating (right picture). This room will be used for all events except for the group work sessions.

The following equipment is available in Room 212:
3 beamers and screen Lectern with built-in microphones and computer (Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010) Sound-system with wireless microphones (2 hand-held microphones, 2 headset micro-
phones), possibility to amplify sound from the computer, etc. DVD-Player and VCR-Recorder
During the Annual Conference the IT will provide the following additional items in the room:
Power-Point-Presenter to remote control the computer during the talk.
4 Room 112
Room 112 offers the following technical devices:
Beamer Lectern with microphone Small sound-system to amplify notebook-
sound
During the Annual Conference the IT department will provide the following equipment:
Notebook (Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010) Power-Point-Presenter to remote control the computer during the talk.
