Conflict Minerals Reporting Framework
specific timeline from brand customer e.g. HP

Suppliers must have a Conflict Minerals Policy. Supplier must survey its supply chain and report information to HP about Supplier and Supplier's supply chain using this template. That information must be provided to HP biannually for any tantalum, tin, tungsten, or gold necessary to (or used in the production of and contained in) parts, materials, components and products. By 31-Dec-14, any smelters in Supplier’s supply chain that process tantalum for use in materials, parts, components or products supplied to HP must be included on the Conflict Free Smelter Program List. HP expects Supplier to immediately begin transitioning all of its tantalum, tin, tungsten, or gold supply chains to Conflict-Free Smelters or encouraging their known smelters to participate in the Conflict Free Smelter Program through direct engagement. HP will require Supplier to demonstrate that any smelters in the Supplier's supply chain that process tin, tantalum, tungsten, or gold for use in materials, parts, components or products supplied to HP must be included on the Conflict Free Smelter Program List by the end of 2016. Progress towards this requirement will be measured by HP and be based on the percent of Conflict Free Smelter Program smelters included in Supplier’s biannual template report. If a smelter used within Supplier’s supply chain is removed from the Conflict Free Smelter Program, Supplier has 6 (six) months to switch to another smelter that is on the Conflict Free Smelter Program List. By 31-Dec-16, any smelters in Supplier’s supply chain that process tin, tungsten, or gold for use in materials, parts, components or products supplied to HP must be included on the Conflict Free Smelter Program List.
