SHU MBA talent development and our international SHU MBA teaching methods

Whole-Person (“Being-Doing-Knowing”) Curriculum Design

SHU MBA is one of the first MBA programs in mainland China committed to a

curriculum which embraces the Being – Doing – Knowing method of learning,

which allows for our Whole Person Curriculum. Our integrated program of

strategic business skills (knowing), personal development and leadership skills

(being) and applying these to your career (doing) is designed to give you

knowledge and confidence to excel in your chosen field.

For Domestic students

Domestic applicants must pass the GRK (national MBA entrance examination), which consists of

English and Comprehensive Ability Test. SHU MBA will conduct reexamination (language, program

and politics) after the applicants take the GRK. Only when applicants have passed the

reexamination can they continue to participate in the face-to-face interview. Finally, SHU MBA will

matriculate the qualified applicants. Those Chinese nationals who are working or live in Ecuador

or any country in Latin America.

It is mainly delivered in South America, in our partner University ESPOCH in

Riobamba Ecuador with one residential learning block in Yangtze River Delta

Region of China, the most important economic zone in China, for the topic of

“Creating and Understanding Business in China”

It is delivered via live lecture from east-west mix faculty from well-established

universities in China and South America

It is a double Degree program. With the MBA degree from Shanghai

University, which is China’s Ministry of Education officially accredited and

with the MBA degree from ESPOCH (Escuela Superior Politecnica del

Chimborazo) which is Ecuadorian University officially accredited by

SENECYT and CES (Superior Education Council).

This double degree was approved by REPUBLIC OF ECUADOR HIGHER

ESPOCH

ESPOCH is an institution of higher education founded in 1972. The University now enrolls

more than 25 thousand Students and counts with an area of 1000 hectares for scientific

and academic use, it is geographically located in the Central zone of Ecuador.

Chimborazo Polytechnic University (ESPOCH) is one of the most representative technical

Universities of The Republic of Ecuador, it is located in the center of the country in the city

of Riobamba which belongs to Chimborazo Province. It counts with the higher

• Riobamba , full name San Pedro de Riobamba) is the capital of the Chimborazo

Province in central Ecuador, which is located at the Chambo River Valley of the

Andes. It is 200 km south of Ecuador's capital Quito.

• The city is an important regional transport center as well as being a stop on the

Pan-American Highway that runs through Ecuador. Riobamba stands as one of the

largest cities in the central portion of Ecuador's Sierra region.

• Close proximity to the Chimborazo volcano. Like many cities in Ecuador, Riobamba

has a near constant temperature year-round, with a wet and dry season. Its altitude

(2754 m) and closeness to Chimborazo give the city a cool climate year-round,

with temperatures averaging between 23 °C and 14 °C..
