The Hair Color Industry in the billions
• Home use of hair color is over $9 billion worldwide
• $1.8 billion to $2.5 billion in salon sales according to James Robinson Ltd.
• Couple of billions greater the America’s missile defense budget of 2006.

The hair is considered an adornment of one’s
appearance.Color is an enhancement of
the natural color using artificial dye or pigment to acquire different shades.
This is achieved through a one or two step process.
The Laws of Color
• Identify the primary color – Red, yellow, and Blue
• Name the secondary colors– Violet, Green, and Orange
• Give examples of the tertiary colors– Yellow-green, yellow-orange, red-
orange,– Red-violet, blue-violet, and blue-
green

Place an “X” on the portion of the head according to the instructions either front or back of head. Either quadrant in front or back is correct for placement of “X”.
Application 1 should designate the first placement of the application by placing an arrow to indicate from point A to B
Application 2 should designate the second placement of the application by placing an arrow point toward the end of strand remaining, if necessary

Tint Back to Natural (bleached)

Virgin Tint to Lighten Natural Color
1. Part hair into four sections
2. Start application ½ inch away from scalp, most resistant area of head (crown, back, of nape) through the porous ends
3. ⅛ to ¼ inch sub-partings4. Strand test when half
your color development is achieved
5. Apply to scalp (last)6. Strand test for final color

Virgin Bleach1. Part hair into four sections2. Start bleach application in the
darkest area (crown, nape, or back)
3. Apply ½ inch away from scalp through the porous ends.

7. Rinse with cool water without heavy manipulations

refresh color or break in the line of demarcation with a comb.
