III. COURSE DESCRIPTION :A general study given to freshmen, providing for an overview of the various aspects of the concept of law, with emphasis on the relationship between law, jurisprudence, equity, courts, society and public policy, presented through selected provisions of law, cases, and other materials depicting settled principles and current developments, both local and international, including a review of the evolution of the Philippine legal system.

VI. GENERAL OBJECTIVES :The course is designed to provide the students with an overview of the law, the legal system, legal concepts, procedure, terminology, and current issues in law.

The meaning, nature and purpose of the Constitution

IX. COURSE REQUIREMENTS :The official grading system of the University of Cebu College of Law will be followed, to wit:
a. Class Standing (Prelim/Semi-Final Exam, Recitations, Quizzes and Assignments)..40%
b. Midterm / Final Examination..60%
