Teaming Meeting Norms

This is a safe place for teaming; all ideas are worth consideration

Please be respectful to those around you; avoid side conversations.

Use technology to enhance learning online shopping = inappropriate

Taking notes = appropriate

Cell phones silenced = very appropriate

Your participation is needed; please engage in teaming and put away classroom work

Everything we do here should reflect our commitment to providing for the academic success of every student.

What are we expecting for IHMS?

2013-2014 Goals We will foster effective communication amongst teachers,

administrators, students, and parents.

We will identify and provide for students in need of Tier 2 and 3 Interventions.

What are we NOT expecting?

Perfection

One person (or department) to do everything

Ginormous cross-curricular projects with bells and whistles that have absolutely nothing to do with Core instruction

Team Roles

Please take 2-3 minutes to determine a role for each person in your team. Roles could include, but are not limited to a spokesperson, note taker, time keeper, or agenda maker. The team lead has already been assigned.

Personality Test

Please take about 5 minutes to complete the personality test. We’ll share results within your teams shortly.

1. What did you find out about your team members from this short exercise?

2. Do you think you have a good mix of personalities in your team? Why or why not?

3. How does being aware of your team members personalities affect your contributions to the team?

Team-Work (aka Homework for Teams)

Create a Team Goal to complete by next meeting (April 5th) in the context of our total journey (Five Functions of a Successful Team). It may be something as easy as creating a team Dropbox folder and inviting everyone to access it; or your team goal may be something more complex.
