Report on the Geophysical Surrey performed on the property of

INTRODUCTIONigunn" - TT-T -- -w-*'in*.

At the request of the Board of Directors of the Company and follow

irig the suggestion of the company engineer, a Magnetometer and Electro

Magnetometer survey was nw.de on the company's claims*

The purpose of the surrey was to attempt to correlate the geology

of the ground that is normally covered by overburden, by means of the

magnetic susceptibility and magnetite content of the underlying rocks,

and by comparing idth a previously known geological structure containing

rock*! of known type, thus preparing a complete picture of the claims.

The presence of break* in the rooks, such as faults, shears end fractures

should, also be indicated both by magnetics end E* W* conductors* The

above factor* would, then be applied with visual surface geology, under

ground maps and aerial photographs, to compile a comprehensive geological

picture of the ground, thus aiding toe search for gold bearing structures*

UGATJPJL*

The company's holdings consist of 16 unpe.tented claim* in the

Sachigo Kiver area of the Patricia portion of the Kenora-Red Lake Mining

Division in Ontario*

Claim numbers are KRL* 48046 to KRL 48060 inclusive, end remain in

good st&nding until June 1961*

The filing of this survey will qualify for one year's assessment

work, in addition*

The property was mapped by means of a picket line grid,

Pick&t linet; were cut in a true north-south direction to inter

sect the formation at right angles, and a base line v/ae run in an east-

vjest direction. Picket lines were cut at #00 foot intervals, and

station* established very 100 feet by chaining* Distance north of the

b&se line was 1,SOO feet and aouth 2,600 feet. The boundaries were tied

in by chaining.

The magnetoiseter was read on every station, and the E.W. on every

station on alternate lines, 400 foot spacing, using the parallel line

Vertical Loop transmitter, Horizontal Loop receiver*

Diurnal stations v/ere set up every 1SOO feet on the base line, and

a graph drava* based OR eight readings per base station. All magnetometer

reading*} were corrected to this graph*

used were a Sharpe A, 4 Magnetometer with scale gradation

to #O gammas, readable to plus or minus 6 gammas, line interval #00 ft.

*ith stations every 100 ft*, and a Sharpe S* F. &OQ Transistor, vertical

and horizontal loop E*M* Readings were by the Vertical Transmitter,

Horizontal Receiver, parallel line method - line interval was 400 feet,

MO stations. This shouM give e depth penetration of about 200-&76 feet

over normal terrain.

The terrain is very flat, with optiMum elevation not over SO feet

and no sharp increments of elevation were present. Outcropping its scarce

being less then l percent* Overburden appears to be between S feet and

50 feet. The lakes are shallow and silt filled* The regional geology

consists of fine and coarse grained laves (greens ton ess), with veins of

quarts and dykes of dacite:, syenite and biotite, porphyries, diabase and

diorite. The levat apparently give a mean reading of 8,500 gammas.

Based on the known susceptibilities of the rooks, we anticipate a picture

as follows*

The quarte veins will give readings in the range of 8,800 gammas,

due to the cchi&ted zone in association vdth sulphides* The diabase

dyke should exhibit more negative reaction or be conductive, while the

porphyries, ecid and consolidated, should give lower reading*. These

figures are, of course, based on assumption and prior experience in

geophysics*

E* M* The E. M* profiles revealed a normal level profile over

the majority of the property, with null angles in the range of *5 to 1*6

degrees*

However, in the north-east corner of Claims 48046, 48047 a very

large crossover with angles to 80* was encountered* This reading,

combined vdth the presence of magnetic highs, indicates a strong sulphide

zone*

These highs were preceded by bands of wide nulls and no nulls*

Other smaller conductors were noted in the area of the old

workings and on Claim 48060* Again combined with the high Mag readings

Page 4: INTRODUCTIONigunn - TT-T -- -w-*'in*. · INTRODUCTIONigunn" - TT-T -- -w-*'in*. At the request of the Board of Directors of the Company and follow irig the suggestion of the company

. 4 -

cm Glei w 48050 this is an area of interest. In both sections Mag highs

and lows were associated, thus implying * quarta vein in conjunction with

a n&neraliaed porphyritic dyke. In view of the association between these

structures in the original mine eone, these areas present a very strong

target for drilling*

In all, four zones of major interest are noted* The area in

ClaiR 48CM6 on Dorothy Lake should be drilled firot because of the

seasonal nature of drilling from the ice* All the other zones could

be drilled during or after break-up*

Rather than cover every feature found in the survey, refer to the

series of maps acoowpanying this report. Other than those areas spec

ifically named, the maps will clearly indicate the structure defined*

The F,*M* crossovers not numbered are suggested as being caused by wet

shears, or fracture zones*

A strong crossover shovm as X l in conjunction with magnetic eone

F is believed caused by the presence of a strong sulphide mineralisation,

Both the crossover conductor and the reverse crossover are believed to bo

significant*

Tho magnetic low indicated by B is believed to be the presence of

a dyke of syenite or andesite porphyry*

Zone A is believed to be the presence of disseminated sulphides

in a highly fractured or sheared greenstone, and also the presence of

quarts injections*

Zones H and I are assumed to be in the same pattern*

Page 5: INTRODUCTIONigunn - TT-T -- -w-*'in*. · INTRODUCTIONigunn" - TT-T -- -w-*'in*. At the request of the Board of Directors of the Company and follow irig the suggestion of the company

Zone I* indicated a diorite plug or intrusive*

Structural lines of weakness are expected along the sides of mag

netic contours that are elongated in a. north-couth or east-r:est direction.

EM Zone 2 it associated with the shearing and sulphides in Zone A*

Zone 8 is believed to be sheering and fracturing in association

with tho a&jor faults intersecting in Zone 4 and indicated on the map*

Zone 6 i*; believed to be a fold fracture or associate fault*

A nap with the combined features located is also included and is

believed to be self explanatory*

In correlating these results with the aerial photos, it must be

remembered that the direction of the glaciation wae North 850 East*

Lineation and structures in that direction should be ignored unless con

firmed by geophysics*

It is suggested that the original vein could have had several

factor* working on it*

Tho following should be consideredi

l* The vein was Jcaovai to pinch and ewellj a further extension could

be found with no displacement*

2* The vein was displaced to tho south on either end*

S* The vein was displaced to the north or south on the east, but not

on the vest*

4. Parallel or perpendicular associated veins should be found*

Suggested locations for drill holes are marked on the accompanying

wop* Reasons are noted on an accompanying sheet with locations on the

property grid*

Page 6: INTRODUCTIONigunn - TT-T -- -w-*'in*. · INTRODUCTIONigunn" - TT-T -- -w-*'in*. At the request of the Board of Directors of the Company and follow irig the suggestion of the company

. 6 ~

It is recommended toat a drilling program of 2,000 feet initially

bo implemented and extended when necessary*

The extension of the geophysical anomalies should be followed

into the recently stt&Jced ground*

Maps and interpretation sheets are appended.

ent credits will be filed from this office as soon as

possible,
