Assessment/exams
First Partial (MID TERM) Exam
Oct 20 (morning): 2 shifts [to be confirmed]
Chapters 1 4; 45 min; Weight 14/32
The assignment and the exams will be managed
exclusively through the platform MyMathLab Global by Pearson Education
Second Partial Exam
Same dates as general exam sessions
Chapters 5 7 ; 9 ; 11 and 12; 45 min; Weight 18/32
If somebody does not follow the suggested sequence one
has to take the general exam (on all topics) (90 mins)

Assessment/exams (2)
The final mark is the weighted average of the two marks (first and second partial exams) rounded to the nearest
whole digit. Pass is 18/30. A score of 31 or higher is declared 30 e lode
MML score (between 0 and 100) is translated in a mark (voto) interval 0 32

Tips for success.
Attend lectures and labs regularly
Statistics is not easy, but is fun. Put quite a lot effort in your
learning process.
Spend some time per week regularly to practice MML
Attempt each assigned homework before the next class meeting Start getting ready for your first partial in October from the very
beginning. If you pass it with a good mark your probability of completing the exam in the first exam session increases significantly.
Do not postpone the exam in Statistics: the more you wait the worse the chances of passing it. Of course you must have passed Mathematics beforehand.
