For almost 25 years I was addicted to life controlling substances. For 18 years of those I was addicted to heroin and crack cocaine. I used drugs to numb painful memories from my troubled childhood so I could face everyday life. In February 2011 I became a resident at Teen Challenge and had an encounter with God.

BRUCE’S STORY

This changed my life and He gave me the strength to overcome my problems. 18 months later I am happily married with a good job and a life free of all drugs. I can finally sleep peacefully at night knowing that God has good plans for me, plans that I never would have dreamed possible before.

LISA’S STORY

I grew up in a loving caring family in Fraserburgh and I had a really happy childhood but by the age of 16, I had tried most drugs including heroin. This was to be the start of a 15yr addiction. I tried everything to get off drugs; rehab, doctors and councilor’s, they told me I would never be free and I would die an addict.

In 2009 my cousin told me about Teen Challenge she said it was a rehabilitation centre where I could get help. I met with Jesus in Hope House and I found out how much he loves me. Jesus has forgiven me of my past and has given me a hope and a future. I have been completely drug free for over 3 years now it’s a miracle. I am now married and working in the care industry and it’s all thanks to Jesus.
