THE INVERTEBRATES
The main characteris of invertebrates is that they haven´t got a spinal colum or an internal skeleton.
Invertebrates have got different body coverings:Some invertebrates, like crabs and
oysters,have got a hard shell to protect themselves.
Other invertebrates, like ants and beetles, have got a rigid covering called an exoskeleton.
Some invertebrates, like worms, have got a soft body withouth protection.
Main grops of invertebrates.Mollusk have got a hard shell.Jellyfish and polyps have got long tentacles.Sponges have got soft body with holes
called pores.Echinoderms are covered with sarp spikes.Arthropods have got exoskeleton and
jointed legs.Annelids: They´ve got logn, soft body that
is divided into rings.
ArhtropodsInsects have got six legs.Three main parts
head, thorax and abdomen.Arachnids have got eight legs.Two main
parts cephalothorax and abdomen.Crustaceans have got ten legs.Two main
parts cephalothorax and abdomen.Myriapods have got many legs and two main
parts the head and the trunk.
MollusksBivalves:Hva got a shell with two parts
called valves.Gastropods:Have got spiral shell.Other
gastropos haven´t got spiral shell.Cephalopods:Have got a long arms to catch
their food.
