Geographical Advantage

Industrial & Freight corridors

Provides access to more than 11% of India’s population.

Untapped international market: access to the whole of Central Asian belt including countries like

Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran etc.

Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir makes Punjab an attractive state for production.

Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) uses the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor as the

backbone.

Amritsar - Delhi - Kolkata Industrial Corridor will use the Eastern dedicated Freight Corridor as the

backbone; will traverse 7 states and houses about 40% of India’s poppulation.

An upcoming Industrial Urban Corridor between Amritsar and Chandigarh opening avenues for

major areas of Punjab including Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur.
