• F.S.S. 817.568 (2)(A) Criminal use of personal identification information.

• Personal identification information is defined as any name or number that may be used, alone or in conjunction with any other information, to identify a specific individual.

• Examples of personal identification information are, Name, Social Security Number, Date of Birth, State issued Driver License or Identification Card Number, Alien Registration Number, Passport Number, and Biometric data such as Fingerprints, Retina or Iris Image.

• Identity Theft cases have exploded over the last couple of years. The growing number of internet and computer users and advancements in computer technology are contributors.

• Identity Theft cases can range from the simple to the very complex with a multitude of additional charges.

• Contact financial institutions related to compromise

• Review credit reports

• Contact the three major credit reporting companies to activate a fraud alert
