It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you and your team to participate in *The 30th Fajr Open 2018 G1 , which is scheduled for March 4th -5th 2019 in Kish Island , Iran.

I am confident that the Organizing committee will do its best to ensure the success of the Tournaments and to offer all participants high-quality competitions – with the best international referees to guarantee high level transparency and fair play and I am sure that the events will be a great experience for both participants and spectators.

Please mark our events in your calendar and make sure not to miss these high level, quality tournaments.

Meanwhile, No Entry Visa is required for Kish Island-Iran. Foreign Nationals need no entry visa at the authorized arrival and departure points in Kish Island. But if your team is going to enter to another city in Iran, then depart to Kish Island you need visa.

Qualifications

1. Holder of the nationality of the participating team requirements

2. A participant must be nominated by the pertinent National Taekwondo Association that is recognized by the World Taekwondo and by their National Olympic Committee.

3. Holder of KUKKIWON Dan Certificate

4 .Holder of the WT Global Athlete License (GAL)

*All Athletes & Officials participating in a WT G Ranked Recognized Tournament must hold a valid 2019WT Global License to be able to participate in the 30th Fajr Open.

5.An athlete must be born in Seniors: 2002 or before. to be eligible for participation. All competitors must prove their age by presenting their passport or identification card at the official weigh-in.

Each team can send male and female athletes to compete Provisions in senior weight divisions. One athlete cannot participate in more than one (1) weight category or age division.

Single elimination tournament system. * Senior: 2 minutes x 3 rounds with 1 minute break between each round.

Seeding :

Seeding will be made in accordance with WT Taekwondo World Ranking list January 2019 (published in February 2019). Note: if before the 30th Fajr Open Cup, the February ranking list will be announced and published until 2nd March, the ranking of February will be considered for seeding.

Awards

The top four (4) male and female athletes will be awarded 1st place – gold medal and certificate 2nd place – silver medal and certificate Two 3rd places – bronze medal and certificate

Trophy will be awarded to Top 4 Male Teams & Top 4 Female Teams. *Team standing shall be decided by the total points based on the following criteria. - Basic one (1) point per each contestant who entered the competition area after passing the general weigh-in - One (1) point per each win (win by a bye included) - Additional one hundred and twenty (120) points per gold medal - Additional fifty (50) points per silver medal Additional twenty (20) points per bronze medal.

Team entries will only be accepted through the WT online registration system and registration is only possible with a WT Global License.

Protector & Scoring System

PSS KP&P will be used. The Organizing Committee will provide KP&P trunk protector and KP&P E-headgear. Each athlete has to bring his own KP&P sensor socks. Groin/Forearm/shin guards and gloves are compulsory and must be brought by the contestants. Mouth piece is compulsory! (Only white or transparent).

Recognized brands

Participating contestants are required to wear WT recognized doboks and WT-recognized protective equipment. The latest version of WT-recognized manufacturers’ list is available at the

Random weigh- in

The random weigh-in will take place at the competition venue. All contestants must be present for the random weigh-in. Should a contestant fail to appear for the random weigh-in, he/she will be disqualified. 20% of the number of athletes for each category shall be randomly selected for the weigh-in. The random weigh-in shall be conducted with +5% of the contestant’s weight category.

Anti-doping regulations

The WT Anti-Doping Rules, and where necessary the Code of the World Anti-Doping Agency, shall apply throughout the competitions. Compulsory anti-doping tests will be carried out for all finalists, while random tests will be conducted among the quarter- and semi-finalists who failed to advance to the semi-final. The WT and/or WADA may carry out random out-of-competition testing prior to the 30th Fajr Open. Therefore, all participating contestants are required to submit their latest and most accurate Athlete Location (Whereabouts Info) Forms to the WT.

TUE

Therapeutic Use who take any substance or medicine listed): In the “Prohibited List” of the WT Anti-Doping Rules and Anti-Doping Code of World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for therapeutic purposes are requested to visit the website of WADA and make online filing of their TUE applications on ADAMS http://www.wada- ama.org/en/ADAMS/ and report to the WT Sport Department at marcoienna@worldtaekwondo.org by no later than January 31st2019. , For more details, please see the following page of the WT website: http://www.worldtaekwondo.org For ADMAs login, please contact National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO) in your country or WT Anti-Doping Manager at antidoping@worldtaekwondo.org

Indemnities It is the responsibility of each registering team to ensure that their athletes and team officials have filled out the indemnification forms correctly and have duly signed them, thereby indemnifying WT, ATU, the Organizing Committee and all other officials and athletes from any claims of injuries, losses or otherwise arising in the course of participation at the 30th Fajr Open or any activities linked therewith. It is the responsibility of each registered team to ensure and guarantee that sufficient insurance coverage has been arranged for all athletes, team officials and other participants. Without sufficient insurance coverage, national teams will not be allowed to compete.

Visa

National Flag and Anthem

Each participating team must provide the organizing committee a flag (90 * 130 cm) and a CD of National Anthem.
