IO - MANAGING DIRECTOR, SINGAPORE & SE ASIA

As Managing Director for Singapore and Southeast Asia, Darren Webb leads IO’s business and operations locally and regionally whilst driving growth in both existing and new markets within the region, establishing Singapore as the strategic Asian hub. His key responsibilities are to increase market share, profitability and overall operational efficiency.

With over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Darren has held senior appointments across the globe.

Prior to joining IO, Darren served as Head of Business Transformation for Asia and Africa at Vodafone, based out of Singapore. As well as being responsible for establishing the Vodafone Global Enterprise business in the UAE, Darren also had overall responsibility for delivering on Vodafone’s Enterprise business transformation programme across Asia and Africa. In this role, he led the company’s plans to expand, extend and enhance its capabilities and resources in Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to Vodafone Darren was responsible for Cable & Wireless Worldwide (CWW) business in Asia Pacific. As the Managing Director of CWW’s Asia Pacific business, he was responsible for the regional enterprise & carrier sales, service, marketing, finance and people functions. Darren also had responsibility for CWW’s Global Enterprise sales and business development teams in Africa, Asia Pacific, Continental Europe, India, Ireland and the United States. Darren joined Cable and Wireless in 1996. In 16 years with the company, he held multiple sales and senior management positions.

Darren graduated with a Diploma in Business Studies and in February 2016 completed his Executive MBA from the ESSEC Business School in Singapore, being awarded the “Highly Commended” status.
