During this reporting period (12 October – 25 October), which in this instance covers two weeks, IOM tracked and registered 283 people. The number of South Sudanese tracked by IOM as moving to Jabal Awlia was 275 persons, or 20 persons per day, compared to 407 persons, or 29 per day, during the last reporting period (28 September – 11 October). Numbers for the last reporting period have been updated to include 24 individuals reaching South Kordofan from Tonga in upper Nile State. This week, 8 South Sudanese reached Kadugli in South Kordofan from Malakal in Upper Nile.

Tracking and Registration

14,671 persons in South Kordofan, and 1,044 in WestKordofan. The IOM tracking hub at Jabal Awlia has tracked 31,177in East Darfur and Abyei remain the same at 164, and 2,496 persons, respectively.

Khartoum new arrivals

The South Sudanese entering Khartoum State are still moving to the open areas such as Um Dorman, Haj Yousif, Kalakel, Mayo, and Soba. Of the 283 persons tracked by IOM in Jabal Awlia, 97 are females, and 116 are children. 58% of all the individuals whom IOM tracked as heading to Khartoum are female, and 42% are male.
