• In the control plane, the Node B application part (NBAP) signalling messages are carried over stream control transmission protocol (SCTP) over IP on top of Ethernet. In the user plane, the frame protocol (FP) user data is carried over UDP over IP on top of Ethernet.
• The bidirectional forwarding detection (BFD) continuity check mechanism for link failure detection is also supported over UDP in the user plane.

• In BTS Manager(Flexi)/AXC(Ultra), configure BTS IP address, Transport IP address, etc.
• Enter far end SCTP subnet, ensure the RNC ICSU IP is included in the subnet
• Fill in the values according to transport network planning for the CAC committed bit rate, signaling bit rate and DCN bit rate
• Add default gateway
