iPalpiti Festival’s Pulse of Music Beats Strong in its 20th
Season
LOS ANGELES, CA, (April 27, 2017) – The “world-class” iPalpiti Festival celebrates its 20
th anniversary season.
From July 13 through July 30, prize-winning young musicians from around the globe will give 16 concerts in
prestigious venues throughout the Greater Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange Counties. The Grand Finale
performance at the Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall on July 29, reviewed as “the highlight of the summer
[in Los Angeles]” will include a Gala Dinner.
Presented by iPalpiti Artists International, twenty-three select international laureates from 17 countries such as
Ecuador, Turkey, Finland, Italy, Japan, Israel and more will arrive for its annual festival. Under the direction of
Maestro Eduard Schmieder, this acclaimed ensemble of soloists, often referred to as the “United Nations of
Classical Music” will perform rare and popular works from the Classic, Romantic, and Modern repertoire, and as
orchestra will feature MAJESTIC CLASSICS programs of Schubert, Mozart, and Beethoven.
Since its inception as a non-profit in Los Angeles in 1997 by Russian émigré musicians Eduard and Laura
Schmieder, with the blessing and support of the late great violinist Lord Yehudi Menuhin, iPalpiti has been
supporting, promoting and developing the careers of exceptional, young professional classical musicians. Local
outreach programs include Student Coalition for the Arts and Mentor Program, this season 300+ local schools’
5-12th
graders.
“Classical music is the spiritual factor which brings people together and unites them irrespective of religion and
culture, appealing to sublime senses,” stated Maestro Schmieder. In a spirit of giving to the community, iPalpiti
ensures a good proportion of its Festival performances are free to the public, and for paid performances gives a
significant number of tickets (over 600) to under-served community organizations, shelters, youth music programs,
public schools, and non-profit agencies serving economically disadvantaged and special needs groups.
The iPalpiti Festival opens in Encinitas, CA and continues its residency at the Soka Performing Arts Center in
Aliso Viejo, concluding with a week of celebrations in Beverly Hills-Los Angeles. Tickets range from $10 - $180. For tickets and information TO ALL CONCERTS call (310) 205-0511 or visit www.iPalpiti.org
Tickets for the Walt Disney Concert Hall event are also available at the Walt Disney Concert Hall Box Office
