Greater Dayton Chapter Members,
Did you know IPMA-HR’s
commitment to human resource
management through merit system
principals dates back to 1906 during
the presidency of Theodore
Roosevelt? At that time, the
organization’s parent organization,
the National Assembly of Civil
Service Commissions, was tasked to
discuss problems arising in the
enforcement of the civil service
laws, to devise methods to meet
those problems, and to compare
results and past experiences. Over
100 years later, the organization
remains focused on those same
founding interests by providing
human resource leadership,
advocacy, professional
development, and a community of
human resources professionals for
the sharing of resources and ideas.
As we begin the 2018-2019 season for our
chapter, we are excited to welcome a
new executive committee team! This
team is anxious to ensure our
organization remains the leading
organization for public human resources.
One way we will do this is through the
various events we will host throughout
the year. Please mark your calendars and
don’t let these opportunities pass you
by! We are also excited to announce the
chapter has been selected to host the
2019 Central Region Training Conference
and Expo. The conference will be packed
with dynamic speaking engagements,
training sessions, networking and so
much more. Please consider attending
this event and supporting one of the
chapter’s many planning teams in the
meantime to help us prepare to welcome
professionals from 12 different states
within the Central Region to Dayton.
