    The number of Internet netizens in Chinahas reached 0.384 billion, occupying 28.9%of whole population.

    The number of mobile netizens in China hasreached 0.233 billion, occupying 60.8% ofwhole netizens.

    The number of IPv4 addresses increases

    dramatically each year.

    IPv4 Addresses: 232,446,464, rise 28.2% than2008

    Domain name: 16,820,000, 80% of which are .cnBackbone: 2.5-10G

    Exchange Points: over 100G (Beijing, Shanghai,Shenzhen)

    International Links: 866,367 Mbps, rise 35.3%than 2008

    Why we need IPv6

    Population in China is more than 1.3billion Regardless on other usages, 1 IP address per person,

    we need at least 77 /8 IPv4 address

    According to ICANN in March 2010, only 22 /8 left in

    global pool, no sufficient IPv4 address available now

    The IPv4 address will be exhausted in 2012

    The number of mobile phone subscribers in China is

    more than 756 million by January, 2010

    If all connected to Internet, more than 29 /8 IPv4

    addresses needed

    3G licenses were released in January 2009 and China

    carriers deploy their 3G/BWA Services
